Exceptional staff and experience! Rooms and amenities were clean, well appointed, and incredibly comfortable. Parking was included and incredibly convenient. Recommendations for food as well as the provided conventional breakfast was exceptional. For those traveling to the Basilicata a must stay!

This place is amazing. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They greeted us as we drove up, helped unload the car, parked the car, had refreshing beverages waiting for us at the reception, air conditioning was already on in the room.

We ended a Ciclismo Classico bike tour in Maratea and so enjoyed the relaxing surroundings at La Locanda delle Donne Monache. We tagged on 2 extra nights at the hotel…I could have remained there for an entire week!! The only “downgrade” is the firmness of the mattresses ( we stayed in 2 different rooms). I found the mattresses throughout our tour across southern Italy to be quite firm. No big deal, though, as we slept soundly and comfortably at La Locanda.

This is a very lovely hotel on a hill with scenic views of the ocean. The staff is friendly and helpful, the pool is very nice and the breakfast is good. They will also park your car for you. You can walk into town for dinner or shopping.

What a terrific hotel! Everyone was warm and welcoming and they upgraded us to a magnificent suite…so roomy, clean and quiet. Breakfast was lovely with continental offerings plus eggs done your way. Freshly baked croissants, buns, with breads available for toasting. We walked to everything and the place was magical at night.

Great spot. Beautiful view. Maratea Centro is a very cool little town above the beaches and port - just a 10 minute drive to many beaches. The service was excellent, sitting by the pool was great, and the hotel gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Also conveniently the path to walk up to the Redeemer Statue is just steps away and takes less than an hour.
