“The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance.”

“Heel leuk en schoon hotel; bijzondere lay-out. Hotel is gelegen op 3 niveaus en heeft geen lift; dus sjouwen geblazen met de koffers. Kamers zijn krap; houdt niet over; schuifdeur naar badkamer (draaideur zou net passen). Storend: Onze kamer had geen enkele Europees stopcontact met randaarde en daarom geen aansluitingen voor onze waterkoker en/of onze laptop. Stekkers met dunne pootjes (b.v. mobiele telefoon) passen wel. Zweembad gaat pas op 16 mei open; jammer. Airco werkte niet; blijkt deze……

“5 stars is not enough for Conche Luxury Hotel. From the comprehensive information provided prior to arrival, to our welcome from Carla, the amazing, spacious room and wonderful amenities, this property ticks all the boxes. It is superbly located within the Sassi of Matera and it’s easy to access key sites. Carla provided us with a map, highlighting areas of interest. She also recommended numerous restaurants and even booked us in to one when we returned later in the afternoon. Her recommendation……
