Family vacation

Great outdoor space, nice grill, plenty of patio furniture and good boat dockage. The beds were very comfortable and the pool was perfect .

Excellent property

Pics are accurate, great for pets! Decor is a little dated, but let that deter you! The house was very clean, and had everything you need down to beach towels! I will book this property again!

The open layout of living space was great for six people. Ample seating in living room, dinning and screened in porch. The pool, outdoor seating, water fountain were enjoyed by all. Home was clean and well equipped in kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Hate to leave.

We had a week long stay -- during August, so SUPER hot!!! But the house worked lovely for us... the pool and amenities all were great! Absolutely perfect location. We would def stay again!

Home for my wedding trip!

We stayed at this property while we were in town for my wedding! Overall, the property was wonderful. The space inside and the space outside were amazing! While things were not completely updated, you could tell the owners put in a lot of work to make the property home-y! The property being pet friendly was also a huge plus for us! We truly loved it and the vacasa team were super helpful with all our questions. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Location!

The location is probably the best you can get on Marathon. Fast access to the Atlantic by sea and fast access to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurant's, etc. by land. As some of the other reviews stated the place could use a bit of updating but overall it is very good, this is the Keys after all. It has what you need for a great fishing or diving stay. Bait freezer downstairs, nice pool and patio area and plenty of dockage. We will book here again.

The house was very clean. Could use a few updates but comfortable. The location is excellent. We so enjoyed the pool. There was quite a few tiles missing. We had several visits from Mama Manatee n her baby. So cool.

My family and I stay in Marathon every year for vacation.This was by far the best house we’ve stayed in. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes you could need, the amount of towels, the cleanliness of the home was wonderful. The family of manatees living in the canal was wonderful to watch every day. We absolutely loved our stay!

Great Location for boating/fishing

We were happy with it. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to cook and everything worked as expected. The back yard is spacious and the palms are beautiful. The water access is also amazing. In a matter of minutes you can get to blue water or catch the sunset.

We enjoyed our stay but the home was a bit tired.

During our two week stay, we had three service calls to address a leaky dish washer, a clothes washer with a clogged drain that overflowed and a constantly running toilet with a faulty stopper. The dish washer problem had been going on for some time resulting in a badly damaged kitchen floor that was masked by a floor mat.

Below Average Property

The place was dirty, requested a deep clean but nobody ever came to do that. Floors were filthy. Mold in master bath and I am sure other areas as I am allergic to mold. The toilets were broke but a guy came and rigged them to work. Still needs attention. Kitchen was adequate for cooking. Back of property is nice. Being on a canal was great.There is someone else living on the property but never saw them. Kinda freaked out my wife. For the money I will look elsewhere next time.

When arrived, the chest freezer was not on, and had leaking fish residue seeping from the rusted bottom edges as well as 10,000 flies and maggots on the floor and from the freezer juice residue. My wife vomited as flies went up from our movement towards the freezerand landed on her This was totally shocking and unacceptable neglect The pool.had dead crabs and trash not allowing swimming The trash was full inside the house, dirty floor you could feel on your feet and used cotton swab on the floor in the bathroom The 3rd bedroom has in the closet the Air-conditioning air handler which is very noisy causing my son to bring the mattress nightly and sleep in the living room. Twice I called Vacasa emergency concerning the rancid fish and flies . No call back, and this same information was given to Vacasa No one ever serviced the pool I am asking for some reimbursement for this horrible experience

60th Birthday/fishing trip

When we arrived at the house there was a car in the drive plugged into a battery charger and a garbage bag of cleaning supplies on the dining room table, so we thought maybe someone was there (it was weird because there is a very large room on the ground level that was locked), also the pool was a disaster! The pool cover was on and had debris and large animal or bird poop on it. we pulled the cover back and it was filthy, there had been a little storm earlier that day but a large part was like silty dirt that just sat on the steps and pool bottom and then stirred back into the water when disturbed, also lots debris and a broken waterfall that was full of green algae/stinky water. The only thing to clean the pool with was a little net for like a kiddie pool, it had large holes in it and did not even reach the bottom so you would have to get in the pool to clean it. I called Vacasa (the property management co.) and they said they would address the issues right away! Nobody came that day or the next day, so late the 2nd night I got in the pool with the tiny holy net and for an hour and a half cleaned it myself! The house was advertised as having an ice maker, if you fish this is a BIG deal, it was a tiny one in the fridge! there is no bathroom downstairs so if your in the pool, you must go up 15 stairs, walk the length of house, go in, then walk to other end of house! It had great dock, nice tiki hut and covered area but uncomfortable mattresses, & terrible management!
