The only thing that was a negative was that the bed was the hardest bed I ever slept on! So hard that my body was sore all over upon awakening. I usually stay in Comfort Suites and this one had the hardest bed of them all.

Very friendly staff! After Expedia sent us a confirmation, and we drove 4 hours, The wonderful staff upgraded us to a suite. Only after our checkin did we receive a message that Expedia made a mistake, but the Holiday Inn took care of us so we didn't have miss it or drive 4 hours back the same day.

Note: My review and scoring is based on two parts: 1. The normal review of the hotel (eg. comfort, cleanliness, amenities, etc.) and 2. A COVID score (the practices the hotel has in place to keep folks safe during the pandemic. We stayed as a couple during the month of December 2020. Also, note that all breakfasts we encountered in hotels were crappy. I don’t fault the hotels at all and they are doing the best they can to provide something for folks to eat but we found it best to get a coffee and skip the free breakfast and get some decent food at a restaurant. In other words, if you are booking the hotel for the “free breakfast” – don’t.
Accommodation Comments: The hotel was as described on Expedia. It was clean and comfortable. The room as spacious and nicely decorated with good amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
COVID: Good practices. The hotel required masks and the front desk staff was wearing one. There was also a plexiglass divider between the reception desk and staff. Rooms were very clean. As mentioned, breakfast was abridged – coffee, some cups of yogurt and packaged breakfast sandwiches. We felt safe staying here.

It was two of my friends birthdays and we came to celebrate. The five of us have been friends for 20 years. We hiked, we cooked, we laughed and enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait to come again soon!
