Marfa House Pinto Canyon, in the Center of Marfa

Marfa House, originally built as a railroad hotel in 1892, offers an oasis of comfortable accommodations in the heart of Marfa's historic center, only a short walk from galleries, restaurants, and bars. Our apartments have kitchen and dining amenities to provide guests with meal-time options. Our apartments also feature solid-wood beds, premium bedding, and furnishings and original art with a contemporary and West Texas flair.

The space
Pinto Canyon is a second-floor one bedroom/one bath apartment with a fully equipped kitchen/dining area and a living room with a 43-inch LG TV and a blue-tooth Bose speaker. Pinto Canyon features a hardwood Queen-sized bed, premium linens, ceiling fans, mini split heating/cooling units with individual remote thermostats, and original paintings and textile art throughout the apartment. Free Wi-Fi service is available throughout the apartment.
Interaction with guests: Our manager lives nearby and is on-site frequently; she will assist you in meeting your needs as a guest and offering suggestions and information about local venues.

Relaxing Weekend!

We had a wonderful stay in Marfa at this clean and comfortable space. The location was excellent, within walking distance to restaurants and galleries. This space is filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The bedding was cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring and hiking. We appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The detailed information binder was filled with helpful information including all the close restaurants and galleries. My wife and i are older {75 years old. Married 54 years}. We just wanted to ger out of the house and see some of the state while we still could. We were in the Big Bend area for a week. we stayed at three different accommodations. Yours was by far the best rooms we stayed in. We had requested a downstairs room but were told none were available. In the two days we were there, we hardly saw another person.When we arrived, we had to drag all our luggage around the back of the building, go through two locked doors. find a staircase and carry our luggage up, one step at a time. This procedure was extremely difficult for us and unnecessary, especially when you have a perfectly good front door, right on the sidewalk. You have a perfectly good front door. you need to find a way to make it serviceable.

Weekend at Marfa House—Pinto Canyon

We were there for a wedding & this location was walking distance to every activity (2 parties, 2 hotels), as well as shops, galleries & restaurants. The apartment was roomy & comfortable. We love having a kitchen for small bites, breakfast and morning coffee & the kitchen in Pinto Canyon had all we needed plus a nice kitchen table. Coffee and breakfast on the porch was lovely. Although we didn’t have any leisure time for the common room, it was light and welcoming. Management was very responsive in fixing a wonky security light (not a “security” issue for us—town seems very safe—but for the light needed to input door code) We would definitely stay here again!

Great Room! Great Location!

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay in Marfa. The owner was onsite and extremely helpful. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere. Quiet, clean, comfortable and convenient. What more could you ask for?

Perfect stay

The location of this place is truly perfect. Walking distance to most things in Marfa. The place is spacious and comfortable. The full kitchen is a nice option because restaurants in Marfa can sometimes be challenging (closed or busy). Parking was easy even with a large SUV. Nothing I didn’t like about staying here.

Better Than the Pictures

Marfa House was a top notch place to stay . The property was lovely and could not have been more comfortable . All of the furnishings were high end and the decor was done very artistically. We enjoyed relaxing outdoors on the porch as well as being inside. When booking a place to stay ,the hope is that it will be as nice in reality as it is the the advertising photos. Well, Marfa House is even better than the photos!
