Great Family getaway

We stayed for a week and could not have enjoyed it more. From a welcoming host, who couldn't do enough to tell us the region's highlights, from food, locations and parking spots, to a superbly fitted-out apartment. The apartment had plenty of space, a private pool and sunning areas and everything you could need. Our first trip to Croatia won't be the last and hope to revisit Ivan's home soon

Perfect Holidays

Ivan and his wife were wonderful hosts for us for 14 days. We were cared lovingly for and pampered the whole time. The Holiday home and pool were very clean and well maintained. Nothing was missing. We would be happy to spend our vacation with Ivan and his wife again at any time

Amazing hosts

We had a wonderful week staying at this villa. The hosts were amazing and couldn’t do enough to be helpful. We had some very tasty food prepared for us along with welcome gifts and a private tour around marina. The hosts live next door and were very helpful when needed but did not encroach on our privacy. The villa has everything you could possibly need, the pool was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. The location is very quiet and not too far from beaches, restaurants and supermarkets but a car is essential. Would highly recommend this villa and would love to return in the future.

Wonderful holiday

Lovely spacious Villa. Had everything thing we needed and the swimming pool was great. The hosts, Ivan and his wife, could not have been more welcoming, preparing some food for our arrival, produce from their farm and olive oil and grappa which was all great! They provided so much advice for local beaches parking, places to eat etc which was so helpful. Ivan also provided a contact for boat hire and gave great recommendations where to visit. The village was lovely and peaceful but you do need a car. We had had a wonderful relaxing time!

Fantastic stay and outstanding hospitality

We could not have had a better holiday in Croatia than staying in Ivan and Ivanka’s lovely house with pool, not least as it was made even more special by their unbelievable hospitality. The house itself was excellent with all the equipment we could want, a great pool and a BBQ house with outdoor seating area and an upstairs shady patio as well. It is situated in a little village a few miles inland from Marina so a car is needed but it only takes about 10 minutes to get to Marina where there are a number of great restaurants. There is a small local shop in Gustirna village for bread and essentials and a bigger supermarket in Marina. It’s an excellent location to get to a wide range of places of interest too - Trogir is 20 minutes away, the airport only 26 minutes away, Split Old town is about 40 minutes away and Krka National Park under an hour away. The coastline in this area is superb with a number of small coastal villages with pretty, artificial small beaches lined with restaurants. Ivan and his wife were so welcoming and we benefitted from gifts of their own-grown fruit and vegetables, wine and grappa as well as their home produced dried figs and nuts. Nothing was too much trouble and Ivan’s mother even produced a whole tray of tray bakes on a local saint’s feast day! They could not have been kinder. Ivan gave us a great deal of information about the area and what to see, the best places to park and the best restaurants to eat in. We highly recommend staying here!

Don’t overlook. It’s booked out for a reason!

Stayed here in July 2023 with wife and 2 children (15&16). Great property and best hosts ever! The host lives next door but you have all the privacy you need. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Villa was lovely, clean and equipped with everything you’d want. If something was needed, Ivan would get it! Arrived to find essentials in fridge together with gifts for our arrival. Ivan then drove us to the local town (Marina (4min drive)) and showed us key places for shopping/eating/parking. Top room has a lovely balcony and seating area which we used most nights and overlooked the mountains as the sun set. Great pool with good shade area if required.There is a grill/BBQ to use in a dedicated room by the pool. Very well designed with all plates/dishes in there to use, in addition to everything in the Villa. Wanted some (more) wine whilst I was cooking and they collected a bottle from the neighbours local wine shop and brought it over! Ivan sent a comprehensive list of where to go/eat in region. We followed all recommendations and all were brilliant. Spectacular towns all around. Trogir our fav but many beautiful. Ivan’s recommended a friend - Goran, who has a boat in the local town. Hired that for 4 hrs and visited many local bays, swam and had great fun. Would definitely recommend. On leaving we were given yet more gifts. If I had a Villa I’d aspire to host like Ivan and his family! Loved the Villa, the stay, the hosts and the location.

Fantastic property with excellent facilities.

The setting of the accommodation is idyllic and there is everything you could need in the villa. With the supermarket a few minutes drive away it’s perfect. Choosing to lounge by the pool a few days was incredibly peaceful and the location serves great for exploring further north and up the coast. Ivan and his family were so welcoming and accommodating, they treated us to fresh fruits and local delicacies. Would definitely recommend

We enjoyed a fantastic 2 week stay at this villa in Gustirna, near to Marina. The villa itself is so comfortable; air-conditioned, well equipped with plenty of areas to relax, whether by the pool or on one of the balconies. Everything you need, we felt, was provided.Without a doubt, what makes this vacation villa so special are the hosts, Ivan and his wife Ivanka. We arrived late Saturday night but Ivan met us in Marina and guided us to our home. Homemade food and wines were laid on for us - no need to shop the next day! His family made sure we enjoyed some freshly grilled fish on Sunday, which was also delicious!Ivan provided us with a tour of Marina by car, pointing out all the best places to park, eat, shop and swim - excellent local knowledge to have.We travelled to some of the other towns in the vicinity by car too. Our visits were enhanced by all the many links that Ivan had sent via WhatsApp regarding what to see, where to eat.All in all we would recommend this villa to anyone. We've never experienced better.

Fantastic hospitality.

This is a delightful and very comfortable house that had everything in it we needed.The pool area and garden are beautiful. Gustirna is a small, very quiet village, but Marina is only 3 kilometres away which has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. We had a really good meal at Konoba Kod Duje. What made our holiday extra special was getting to know Ivan, Ivanka and their lovely family. They were very generous and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. We loved spending time with them, learning about the area and it's history. We particularly liked sampling their home made wines, liqueurs, cakes and garden produce. Highly recommended! We will definitely return if we come back to Croatia.

Home from Home

We had a really excellent stay here, and would highly recommend this accommodation. The flat is beautifully maintained, well laid out with plenty of room and all amenities, the beds are large and very comfortable and the upstairs balcony is especially nice for chilling out at any time of day. The pool is as nice as it looks in the pictures - with a 4yr old in tow, we were rarely out of it! There are mountain bikes to borrow too - but my other half stayed in the pool and let me battle the hills… :-) I had been worried that the nearby town of Marina would be small and there would not be much to do there - but there are plenty of good restaurants, nice local beaches, local shops and well stocked supermarkets. It’s an easy drive to Trogir, Sibenik and the Krka National Park - the location turned out to be excellent. Our hosts were lovely and very friendly and the hospitality was outstanding - it made a real difference to our stay. Thank you Ivan, Ivanka and all your family for a great holiday.

A lovely villa in a beautiful part of Croatia

We had a lovely 10 day stay in Ivan and Ivana's villa in a hillside village, about 1.5 miles from the coast. The property had everything this family of four (mum, dad, one teen and one pre-teen) could need - from a great pool to Netflix and wifi! The villa is very comfortable and has all mod cons. Ivan and Ivana are incredibly welcoming hosts and couldn't do enough for us, without being intrusive. They treated us to some wonderful food and Ivan even accompanied us to the garage when we had a problem with our hire car. We also loved their very friendly and gentle family dog and a newly adopted kitten! The villa is in a lovely part of Croatia - we visited the Krka waterfalls and hired a boat to explore the bay around the nearby town of Marina. Ivan also showed us some secluded beaches with amazingly clear water. Bring/buy a snorkel and wet shoes as the beaches are all pebbly. Nearby Trogir is picturesque but was busy in the height of August. We had a wonderful stay and recommend this villa and area very highly.

Absolutely great place to spend holidays

The House: We loved the place situated in a nice and quiet area where you can feel the real Croatian spirit. Close to the village there is a supermarket and all necesary shops needed in Marina (7/8 minutes by car). I think the house is definitely more than 70m2 as announced. Yvan takes care of the swimming thus we got a clean pool during all our stay. The owner: Yvan and its family were VERY nice with us, they proposed us idea for excursions, and give us some very good advices to visit the area. During this fruit season they shared with us all their natural products coming from their garden, they invited us to discover local food several time, we always accepted and shared some very nice moment with this family. In conclusion we definitely recommand this house for people wishing to discover Dalmatia (excellent location to discover Trogir, Split, Sibenik, Zadar, National park of Plitvice and krka). You will not only rent the house, you will get the house and an fantastic experience of Croatia Spirit. We went 4 peolple, 2 couples ages between 28 and 32. NB: The owner has a perfect english

Es war wunderschön und alles war so sauber. Es fehlte an nichts. Ivan und seine Frau waren super Gastgeber und haben uns spontan mit traditionellen Essen überrascht und zum Abschied gab es noch selbstgemachtes Olivenöl und Daddeln mit nach Hause. Wir hatte schöne 14 Tage in Gustirna. Auto ist erforderlich, um die Gegend zu erkunden. Das Haus liegt optimal zwischen Split und Zadar. Man kann mit kurzen Autofahrten alles erreichen. Wir waren zu zweit das erstemal in Kroatien und es hat uns sehr gefallen. René und Jeannette

Wir konnten unsere Autos direkt in den Carport stellen, die Gastgeber waren mehr als hilfsbereit und wirklich sehr nett und großzügig, von Genüsse aus dem Garten bis hin zum selbstgebackenen der Großmutter war alles dabei. Die Wohnung ist ausreichend groß für 5 Personen, klimatisiert und gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Wie wurden sehr herzlich aufgenommen und begrüßt, mit Tipps für Parken und Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, einfach top. Wir hatten immer frische Wäsche und es war sehr sauber. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, Ivan herzliche Grüße und Dank an deine Familie

Wir sind mit unserem Auto und Anhänger verreist und hatten unsere beiden Quads dabei.Ivan und seine Familie haben alles möglich gemacht damit wir auch für den großen Anhänger einen Platz finden. Die beiden Quads und das Auto durften wir im großen Carport unterstellen. Das Haus mit dem schönen Pool war sauber und gut eingerichtet. Es gab zur Begrüßung frisch gebackenes und Schnaps. Alle Zimmer haben eine Klimaanlage. Auch die Küche hat alles was man braucht.Für den Pool gibt es extra Badetücher.Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundlichkeit in diesem Haus. Wir durften die Terrasse unten mitbenutzen und hatten den Pool für uns allein. Gleich zu Beginn wurden wir zum Essen eingeladen. Es gab Wein und Olivenöl und zum Abschied noch ein paar Geschenke. Wir bekamen auf jede Frage eine Antwort und auch tolle Ausflugstips. Wir bedanken uns recht herzlich für die schöne Zeit im Haus und die Gastfreundschaft.

Die kleine Oase

es war traumhaft schön in unserer Unterkunft…..So tolle Gastgeber, sehr am Wohle seine Gäste interessiert.Immer wieder wurden wir mit vielen Aufmerksamkeiten überrascht. Es wurde sogar gekocht für uns… sehr lecker.Außerdem waren Ivan und seine Frau Ivanka sehr darum bemüht , das wir all sie schönen Dinge sehen, die es im der Umgebung zu sehen gibt.Außerdem haben Sie uns beim Buchen eines Bootes sehr unterstützt und wir haben sogar noch Geld gespart. Familienurlaub

Herzlicher Empfang von Ivan. Die Wohnung ist schön groß und geräumig und hat fast alles was man benötigt. Uns fehlte ein kleiner Staubsauger....Wir haben gerne auf der schönen Dachterrasse gesessen. Die Fewo liegt in einem kleinen Bergdorf oberhalb des kleinen Örtchens Marina, von hieraus sind wir auf der A 8,immer an der Küste entlang, gestartet. Und haben die Orte Trogir, Sibinek, Primosten und Split besucht.Alles in einem Umkreis von 50km gut zu erreichen.Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und können die Fewo weiterempfehlen. Die Gastfreundschaft von Ivan und seiner Familie, ist wie die anderen vorher beschrieben haben, sehr einmalig. Vielen Dank lieber Ivan und viele Grüße aus dem hohen Norden...Familie Scholz

Tolles Ferienhaus mit perfekter Ausstattung

Das Ferienhaus in Gustirna ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Marina, Trogir, Split, Rogoznica, zur Wallfahrtskirche Loreto, nach Šibenik und Primošten.Igor und seine Frau waren tolle Gastgeber – sie haben uns mit Tipps versorgt und mit Leckerein verwöhnt.Das Haus ist top ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Der Pool ist beheizt und der Garten ist so liebevoll gepflegt, dass er fast wie ein kleiner botanischer Garten wirkt.Klingt vielleicht übertrieben – ist es aber nicht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Entspannter Urlaub

Wir wurden sehr nett, trotz später Anreise, von Ivan empfangen und über Restaurant-Tips etc. im Ort Marina informiert. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, die Dachterrasse wurde unser Lieblingsplatz mit Superblick in die Ferne. Man kann diverse Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternehmen. Die Gastfreundschaft von Ivan und seiner Familie ist einzigartig, vielen Dank nochmal für die vielen leckeren Geschenke. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Sehr gastfreundlich und ruhige Lage

Wir haben eine Woche zu dritt bei Ivan verbracht. Es ist eine sehr großzügige Wohnung auf zwei Ebenen mit privatem Pool. Ivan ist sehr hilfsbereit, er hat uns die Umgebung und die Strände mit seinem Auto gezeigt und Tipps für Restaurants gegeben. Man fährt ungefähr 5-10 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Marina.
