Stayed in a superbly refurbished junior suite, enjoyed excellent service and outstanding food, and enjoyed massages, swims and theJacuzzi at the spa. An excellent relaxing break. This was our second visit and it won't be our last.

Restaurant/ bar/spa Staff made the trip, friendly professional and knew what it meant to make a memorable stay. Rooms VERY tired. First room smelt of body odour. Second room bathroom literally falling apart. Cracked sink, everything leaked. Heating so unbelievably hot but unable to turn it off even after reporting to staff. Slept with windows wide open all evening. Lovely location, quiet and peaceful.

Room was perfect, really spacious and clean. We didn’t have dinner there so can’t review the restaurant for that, but our breakfast was great. Spa was lovely. Really beautiful grounds and hotel, staff very polite and attentive. We can’t fault it. Thank you we would love to return.

Very engaging staff, they could not be more helpful. Hotel spa very relaxing. Delux room was quiet and very comfortable. Lunch in cocktail bar was fully loaded and enough for two to share.

We had a wonderful stay….we were very fortunate to have been given an upgrade. The room was beautifully decorated, with a lovely stand alone bath. We really enjoyed visiting the spa, and the grounds were so pretty. The staff were kind and helpful. We always love visiting here! Thank you.

The hotel is in a great location and approach is lovely. Spa was well appointed. I accept it is an old building but it is in need to repair and updating. Carpets worn, lift out of order and no chance for disabled access to our room without walking up 3 flights of stairs. The presentation and quality of food in the evening was exceptional, however the service was extremely slow. Breakfast was speedier, however the order was delivered wrong and the food was obviously pre-cooked as it was dry and touch. Shame.

Areas of the hotel looked tired. Breakfast service somewhat chaotic, and surprised to be told what time we were having breakfast (0830 on Sunday!). Plates were cold, so dinner on Friday night and breakfast Sat/Sun were cold. The tuna starter wasn't particularly fresh. Staff were helpful throughout; but areas seemed to lack customer focus - stood for several minutes at the Spa reception whilst 3 staff continued their conversation and didn't even acknowledge us. The treatments (which were excellent) started several minutes late but annoyingly finished promptly.

Room was spotless. Ammi front desk manager was so very helpful and understanding when I had booked the wrong date. She sorted the problem and arranged a room. A huge relief as we had traveled quite far and I had a spa treatment booked fir the next day. Wonderful professional service.

We have been coming to Danesfield House on and off, for the past 15 years. We always feel very well cared for by professional, friendly staff.The swimmimg pool and spa area are so relaxing and sparkling clean. The food is excellent and we had the option of room service, which was a real treat. Our bed was so comfortable and all parts of our accomodation were well cared for. The grounds are expansive and beautiful, with lovely views down to the River Thames. Highly recommend for a special time away.

We had a wonderful stay, bedroom was immaculate and comfortable, the spa was very relaxing, the sauna is big and they have a fully equipped gym. The cocktail bar serves delicious cocktails, would highly recommend sitting at the bar to watch the magic happen. Breakfast was delicious too.

The hotel was extremely busy with back-to-back weddings, and most guest rooms appeared to be out of action due to these events, which was already disappointing. room, however, was particularly poor in condition. It was very dated, with an old wall-mounted hairdryer, cobwebs, and several insects including daddy long legs and moths. The carpet was faded and worn, leaving the room feeling tired and neglected. For October, the large room was also uncomfortably cold, and as there was no controllable heating, staff could only provide a small portable heater, which was completely inadequate for a room of that size. The bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get any rest. Additionally, our room was located very close to the function areas, and both nights we were disturbed by loud noise from wedding guests shouting and music carrying late into the evening. This made it impossible to relax. It is not a hotel and spa where you can stay for the weekend to unwind — we ended up leaving the hotel on both evenings just to find some peace and quiet. We were offered an upgrade to a more modern room for an additional £150, but having already spent nearly £600 on our stay, we did not feel we should have to pay more simply to be comfortable. No alternative ‘superior room’ was offered, only larger rooms at additional cost, which we did not want or need — we just wanted to be comfortable for the stay we had already paid for.
