Everything was great and the process was so easy and smooth. My family came to town and it was great to stay all together and not a hotel. Perfect place and the owners were awesome.
Very accommodating hosts. Shared info about local area and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay (which we did!). House is charming and clean. Parking was easy. Very convenient to Middleburg and the wineries.
1800's Historic, Restored Home, outside Middleburg VA
Perfect getaway cottage in the middle of VA horse & wine country. It was our first visit to Middleburg, but it won't be our last. The historic property and its attention to details, was impeccably maintained and extremely clean. The property mgr. was top notch, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
This place sets the standard for luxurious vacation renting! The decor was stunning and the entire house was carefully curated. We wanted for nothing and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We found paradise on Rectors Lane. Our best VRBO stay ever!
Enjoyed a wonderful few days with my sister and niece. Fell in love with house immediately!! The decor, charm and history made for a memorable stay. We will definitely return❤️
This is such a beautiful property that is extremely well maintained. We all were so appreciative of how well stocked the house was from the kitchen to the bathrooms. All of the beds were really comfortable and a really nice set up for a girls weekend away. The backyard is really beautiful and such a relaxing place to hang out when the weather is nice (which luckily it was for us)! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
The house is perfect for 2 couples. Each bedroom w bathroom and then a half bath off kitchen. Hosts made great dinner suggestions and stocked wood for fire pit and fireplace. Our dog loved the backyard too. Hosts offered early checkin/out as well!
A lovely historic home that was renovated with modern amenities. House has a great yard for the pups. It was fully stocked with everything and anything one could need. Great location near middleburg. House was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend
Felt like the cottage from the movie, "The Holiday"
Cozy and romantic. This is a beautifully appointed historical cottage fit for the pages of Architectural Digest. The cottage has high-end amenities and all the comforts of a luxury hotel. The home is stocked with everything you may need. I felt like we were staying at a friend's home. Highly recommend.
This is the most charming, quaint, beautiful VRBO we’ve ever stayed at! The restoration of this incredible property was obviously a labor of love, every single detail was considered and the end result is just perfect! We had everything we needed in terms of amenities and Nick provided such great recommendations for restaurants and wineries nearby. If you have a chance to visit this beautiful part of Virginia we’d highly recommend staying at the Atoka House!
We were looking for a quiet, long weekend away and that’s just what we got. Check in/out was a breeze!
We had everything we needed and more. Our only complaint was the yard isn’t fenced in enough for our pup. Definitely need a more secure fence being right on the road at an intersection. Outside of that, our stay was beautiful. We would definitely recommend!
Perfect! Amazing historic property with modern amenities. The place had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Beds were super comfortable. Very dog friendly - the fenced in yard with a closeable gate was a welcome perk - the dogs can run freely without straying into the nearby road. Will definitely come back in the fall to experience the fire pit and watch the leaves change color!
We were looking for the perfect place to stay during our week in hunt country- convenient to the farm where we kept our horses and the restaurants in Middleburg. This exceeded our expectations.
This house has been lovingly restored and is beautifully decorated. Its cozy, traditional vibe meshes perfectly with its modern updates. There are thoughtful touches everywhere- from a large selection of coffees, to the working fireplace, and many more.
The beds and bedding are super comfortable. We woke up each morning feeling totally refreshed and ready to tackle the day.
And the hosts Nick and Liz were lovely- they were very attentive, gave great recommendations and took great care to ensure everything with our stay went smoothly. We will definitely come back to the Atoka House on our next visit to Middleburg.
Nick and Liz have put so much attention to details in this wonderful, cozy home located very close to Middleburg. Every amenity you could ask for was checked! We were in town for a wedding and had quite a few events so didn’t get to spend that much time just hanging at the house but we said multiple times that we would’ve loved to!!! We had 5 adults which worked out just fine but getaway for 2 couples would be ideal. Nick reached out to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed; hands down, best VRBO we’ve stayed at!
My wife and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway and found this beautiful historic house and it was perfect! The home is charming, cozy and warm. It was super clean (and smelled amazing) with all the modern amenities you would want. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to whip up a meal and the beds were super comfy when you ate too much of it. The backyard is completely fenced in, which was great with our little pups, and beautiful at night with the bistro lights hung around the fence. The owners, Nick and Liz, were super helpful and very responsive to any questions. They thought of every detail and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. If you’re looking for a place that’s out in the country but close to great dining and shops, this is the place for you!
Nick and Liz have worked hard to make this historic property an amazing home. We were all immediately at home in the cozy furnishings. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the amazing porch life and fenced in back yard. It was less than 10 minutes to downtown area with shops and restaurants.
Everything from the beds to the oversized bath sheets were cozy and comfortable.
We also enjoyed the history of the house and found the Delaney book very interesting!
Our only wish is that we had more time to enjoy the house! We will be back. Thank you Nick and Liz!! We loved your Atoka House.
We have made this a yearly event to get together. So this is year four for us and the best trip by far! The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. We appreciate you letting us access the property earlier then our check in time. We had everything we needed and hope to stay there again next year!! If we had to offer a few suggestions: blackout drapes for lower bedroom. Car lights at night can shine in. A few items for the kitchen: big pot, serving platters and serving spoons. Handheld shower spays. Everything else was perfect!! Thanks for making our weekend a fun and pleasant one!! We also love he history of your home! Possibly provide more info if you have it available! A prisoner exchange location and the horseshoe from the large workhorse was so fascinating!
The host was communicative and kind, and the property was beautiful - as advertised! Warm, cozy — blankets and pillows every where. The kitchen space leaves plenty of room, we cooked dinner for five comfortably! Well stocked with essentials, and clean. Backyard is beautiful, fireplace gives you perfect cozy cabin feel. Host went above and beyond to check on us and help us with nearby activities.
