Great location

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. The owner was so helpful and communicative. We loved the location. We really appreciated the two minute walk to the beach and quick walk to the Poppy Market which we visited daily for morning coffees and dinner. The water views off the back patio were beautiful. Would definitely recommend!

wonderful beach house get away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with the best part being drinking our coffee out on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The warm breeze and beautiful scenery were so uplifting. The beach house was decorated lovely. We will be back.

Great location. Awesome spot for a group (MANY units) One of the bartenders at Raw Bar was kind of rude but AWESOME lobster roll! We'd definitely return!

Wonderful location; nice condo

The place is perfectly liveable and very close to the beach. Well-stocked with books & movies on CD for rainy days. If I had a recommendation, it would be to upgrade the kitchen appliances - they are showing their age, although still functioning just fine. I would come here again.

Relaxing Time???

This getaway was supposed to be a relaxing time for our 35th wedding anniversary/birthday. From 2 hrs in and for next 2 days, we were unable to relax because there was an issue of a sensor noise which at first we did not know how to stop. The host did respond quickly to our call but was unable to help because not in the area and unable to come to deal with issue. Due to this, we dealt with repairmen (alarm co and plumber) and piercing noise for 2 days before it was resolved and did not hear from host after 1st day. Because of this and bad weather the whole time we ended up leaving a day early just to be done with the stress and anxiety of the whole situation. Relaxing - NO! To be fair the host did refund us for 1 night. The location was beautiful...too bad we couldn't enjoy it more.

Beware!

Caveat: I have never written a bad review before, even when not completely satisfied with my accommodations--it's just not something I've ever felt compelled to do, until now. I've stayed in a few different cottages in this area and all have met or exceeded my expectations. I was excited to try this cottage because it's a little larger than we normally rent but it's farther from the water than we normally prefer, which kept the cost to around the same as our previous rentals. The unit is decorated very nicely and you can't beat the location. What you can't see in the pictures is the filth and neglect. Screens on doors are ripped, washing machine held together with duct tape, Weber grill so dirty, we had a grease fire (no grill brush provided either), stains on furniture, drawers and cabinets so filthy and grimy you want to bring your own cutlery! I dropped a puzzle piece that went under the couch and found about an inch of grime plus trash. Dirty paper towels and trash was found in kitchen drawers, along with broken utensils, the fridge doesn't keep food cold, bricks on deck are broken and dangerous to walk on without shoes, patio furniture so dirty you can't sit on it without getting your clothes dirty. I alerted the owner of the problems so I could give her a heads up. I was worried someone had been destructive and that the cleaners were neglectful. I was told that previous renters never complained so I was essentially ignored. I was told the furniture would be cleaned, washing machine and fridge to be fixed at the end of the season but that didn't help us while we there. I guess everyone has their own view of "cleanliness" but this was just gross. It's so interesting to me that this unit gets good reviews--I'm just so confused. I spoke with a few neighbors in the area and was informed that this unit has been a sore spot in the community for this reason. There are so many gorgeous and well kept units in this area--I highly recommend you looking elsewhere so your vacation isn't ruined like mine was. Or I recommend that if you rent this unit, ask if the appliances were fixed and whether is was deep cleaned and organized. In any case, beware!

The property offers spectacular water views and is just a one-minute walk to a private beach—truly the highlight and the reason we chose to rent. It's also an easy 7-minute walk to the Popponesset Marketplace, shops, and Inn.The unit is equipped with most essentials for cooking, including dishes, pots, and pans, and also includes a convenient stackable washer/dryer. The host was communicative before our stay and responsive to questions during our visit.There are prior reviews from people that had issues with cleanliness -we did not. The bathroom vanity is a bit old and needs replacing --showing its wear and the cleaning service does not seem to wipe down the interior of that cabinet regularly. One issue we encountered was the lack of internet access. Although there was a router and we could connect using the provided password, there was no actual internet service—just a “no internet” message once we connected to the network router. The cable worked fine on the TV. We reached out to the host and this is one thing we couldn't solve. For people who want to unplug and be off line this is great! I could see this stressful for most people. Otherwise, we recommend this unit.

HI, We had a very nice time, loved the view from the patio! I will have to say that we were extremely disappointed with the WIFI! My husband had to work and was unable to ..connection was very very poor, if at all! Also, there was definitely an ant problem. We didn't use the 2nd bedroom so the sheets are clean. 1 more thing, there wasn't a blow dryer which I expected so didn't bring one . Thanks, Liz and JIm

Great location!

We loved staying at this townhouse. The setup and size worked out great for my family with two small kids. I loved sitting out and reading on the patio that overlooked the ocean. The location was amazing -just a short walk to the beautiful beach. We enjoyed biking to dinner twice and enjoying all that the Marketplace has to offer. We hope to stay again someday!

the cottage is in good clean condition but we had other issues coffee pot outdated, air conditioning not cooling the all upstairs n downstairs no air condition at all, only fan down stairs n the grill was real dirty, other then that we were pretty satisfied

Very quiet community. Beach was wonderful. Long stairs going down but we persevered. Not in any pictures or description. Comfortable beds which is very important. Everything we needed but could use some new coffee machines. Overall good experience and owner easily contacted.

Comfortable Convenient Beach Cottage

Our stay was wonderful, and we enjoyed perfect summer beach weather. Condo-style cottages. Main floor was flanked on either end with a patio w/table & 4 chairs. Open floor plan with soothing cross-breeze, fully-applianced eat-in kitchen (w/table for 4), 1/2 bath & living room w/seating for 4, TV w/xfinity service & several apps. Cape Cod beach/ocean theme throughout. Upstairs a stacked washer/dryer were smartly hidden and a full bath split 2 dormered BRs. 1 BR had a queen bed & the other had 2 twin beds, the wi-fi/internet router, and a 'portable' A/C unit that was able to keep the air cool but more importantly was effective in mitigating the oceanside humidity to allow for comfortable sleeping. A floor stand fan was available to share the cool air between bedrooms. Clothing storage was very limited. Each bedroom had an adjoining balcony but the balcony was inaccessible from the room with the AC because the exhaust ductwork was secured through the sliding door. The walk to the beach was very convenient (less than 300 steps from door to sand), but be prepared to navigate a solid staircase down the bluff w/ seating at the top and halfway down for those who might need a rest. The private beach was clean w/plenty of open sand & late July water was upper 70's. Market Square was a 1 mile walk/2min drive and offered great seafood, coffee/bakery, ice cream, pizza, candy, groceries, clothing/gifts & live music. Popponesset Inn also nearby offers upscale waterfront dining.

Renter Beware!!!!!

My husband and I rented this property for a summer get away. We were excited to spend a week on the Cape in the beautiful Mausop Village. We had rented another property here before and had a great experience until now. Upon arrival we were disappointed to find the condo dirty and grimey. The condo was not dusted, floors were not vacuumed there was dirt and grime on the tables,banisters,doors,celiling fans, baseboards and floors. The curtains were stained and moldy and there was dried up urine on the base of the toilets. I also found a medication on the bedspread, and after some research found that it was someone’s herpes medication! The host claims in her description that the property has air conditioning. What we got was a bunch of floor fans and a portable air conditioner that was useless, because the flexible hose was severely damaged. The hose was clearly duct taped back together by a previous renter or cleaner. We contacted the owner to let her know about it, and she said she didn’t know of the damage and would order a new hose immediately. Days went by, we were without air conditioning for 31/2 days and had to use the duct tape that was left on top of the refrigerator( how convenient!) to tape the hose back together and try to use it. The owner never followed up with us about it. I find that unacceptable, as the heat and humidity in the condo was unbearable making our stay even more uncomfortable.

Lovely location

We enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely with everything we needed. We loved the location and the close proxsimity to the beach. The house was clean. The AC unit is broken and on the one hot night we could not use it due to the tube being broken. I wish the listing told us it is a town home not a complete house. Neighbors are very close.
