“I was first surprised that it was a basement unit. It’s advertised as a “downstairs apartment” but it is the basement level. Important to know because unfortunately it has the musty smell of that space. The unit was spacious but because it was a basement the smell of mold and in the bedroom a stronger cat urine smell was noticeable. Also the upstairs living space was clearly in use as the running and footsteps were loud. In the early morning the sprinklers bang off the ac unit which was……

“My husband and I, along with our Golden, were on LI for three weeks. We spent our last seven days in this super clean updated apartment. It had everything we needed. The fenced yard was an extra perk, although we didn't get to truly utilize it due to weather and other activities. It's as inviting as the photos though. The dog, however, spent some time out there and loved it. We stayed in the bedroom right off the living room and it was comfy. Anderson is a terrific host. He's helpful and easy……

“The host was extremely attentive to any questions or needs. Excellent and immediate communication. Good, quiet location between Islip airport and Port Jefferson. The size of the unit was very adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and adequately stocked with towels and wash cloths.The reason for 2 stars is we thought the apartment was not very clean from floor to ceiling. This apartment has huge potential to be very cute. In my option, it needs an entire over haul.”

“It worked for us while we were at the US Open. We were gone ever day, and some days didn’t get back till late. We ate a few meals in the apartment, and had enough kitchen accoutrements to handle our meal. The shower worked well and we had enough towels, although they were old. Our bed and pillows and bed linens worked well for us. The AC worked well, although it wasn’t a hot week. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. “Could not have been more pleased with this VRBO. Exceeded our expectations. Place was very clean, very spacious, host was thoughtful when it came to having everything we needed for a relaxing stay and was quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on Long Island.”
