This house was perfect! Very clean, beautifully decorated and very cozy. So many nice extras. Because of bad weather we had to modify our stay and we were very grateful that the hosts were able to accommodate us. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great House

I highly recommend this great house! It was very clean, nicely updated, roomy and comfortable in a great location. It was well stocked with everything we needed even a basket with snacks. The owner was very responsive. We had an excellent stay and will definitely stay again when in town visiting family and friends.

Great place to stay!

Everything about the stay from start to finish was convenient and the house was spotless! The affordable price made it much more economical for a family to stay versus a hotel. The main bedroom bed was unusually hard but the couch was very comfortable. Would recommend for sure!!

Awesome Hidden Gem

This house is adorable and perfect for your next trip to Mattoon. It has most everything you’ll need for a great stay. We did have to buy some toilet paper and paper towels but it’s okay because we weren’t at the mercy of a hotel and all the other people there.The house is in a perfect location for pretty much everything you’ll be doing. We will most definitely stay here again when we come back to town to visit family.

Beautiful home

We have stayed at many Mattoon hotels in the past few years and none can compare to this home. Very clean, upgraded tvs, fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Highly recommend and will hopefully be back again next year.

Beautiful House

Our stay was perfect. The house was clean had Everything we needed. With six adults it was great having a bath and a half. The owners we very responsive. The location was great! We would stay here again.

Great Family Stay

We had an excellent stay. The home was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed. Getting in and out of the house with the smart-lock was easy and convenient. The owner was very responsive to my messages and accommodating. My toddler loved the big TV in the living room and the kids table. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend this place to others.

Good Little House

We were staying in the area to visit family. The house served perfectly as a 'home base'. We slept pretty well, though the queen bed was a little hard. The house was comfortable with smart TVs. Lots of supplies in in the kitchen. We were very happy and will likely stay again.

AMAZING!!!

This property is amazing! Lovely and cozy, just like the pictures. So many amenities- like coffee syrup and cream to already made ice in the fridge. Beds were fine, plenty of towels and great space to just chill. We will definitely book here again when we are in Mattoon! Thanks for thinking of everything!

WOW! Great place! Nice little home that has been totally re-done. Still smells like new! Has everything you would want as they make a great effort to supply what is needed for a comfortable stay. Absolutely NO reason to stay in a hotel in Charleston/Mattoon area with this gem! Will return!

Nice place, but...

Nice house in quiet neighborhood that is located near stores, restaurants and parks. The only problem was the cleanliness of the house and the living room furniture. This place would be VERY nice if the sofa and love seat were replaced and a new and better housekeeper was hired.

Loved this place!

This place was amazing! Friendly neighbors, safe neighborhood, and very quiet! We felt like royalty during our entire stay. THe place was so spacious and clean, and even though it was just the two of us, we really enjoyed the convenience of having a second bathroom. The kitchen was probably the best equipped of all our rentals to day and we have stayed in over 20 of them. There was tons of counter space and the island in the kitchen made it easy to spread out. The coffee bar and my favorite sweeteners, creamers and an incredible variety of wonderful pods for the Keurig machine. We were in town to ride the local bike trail and the location was perfect for us. Mattoon is a great little town and the Hubbart Diner had some of the best food ever. We hope we are able to visit here again this year and would love to stay in this wonder place again!

Quiet but needed cleaning

Was a nice quiet neighborhood. Stay was during the week, not a weekend. Downside was hair in the sheets. One bed looked like someone had already slept in it with dirty feet. There was soap scum in the tub. Toilet had not been wiped clean. Food was in the kitchen sink strainer and scum along the edges in the sink bowl. With a better house keeper I would have rated this a five star.

Nice Cozy Place

We enjoyed our stay. This place was exactly what was advertised. Two beds in one room that our kids stayed in and another bedroom and a fold out couch. Very clean and tidy place. Nice location near a park with a playground. Waved hi to the friendly neighbors and felt safe while staying there. The garage and basement are off limits, which is totally fair except I wondered what we would do if there was a tornado? A storm happened while we were there and that got me to thinking about that but luckily it was just rain and lightning. The only potential issue we had was that there were no curtains at the kitchen window and there was a spot at the top of front door that someone could see in but those are very minor things. There is a question about the lakefront experience and the house is nowhere near any body of water. That is probably just a mistake. They left a goody basket with some chips/snacks/candy which was a really nice touch. There were plenty of cleaning supplies in case there were any spills and we did end up needing them. There were also some books and games that the kids enjoyed as well as a few toys too. Next time we come back we would certainly consider staying here again.
