I was very UNHAPPY! First time being disappointed in Mazatlán. First off, there’s a limit to how many people can stay in a room and they charge for every person including children under 8! I don’t like going to a hotel where the staff wants to invade my privacy and wants to know who all is staying in my room including names and ages. Especially if I’m only paying for the room only not any amenities or meals. I am a very private person and I highly disliked that! Second off my mom and dad are American citizens who live in Mazatlán and wanted to visit me and their grandchildren and wasn’t allowed to enter the hotel with out a day pass!! Which was 980 pesos per day! That was outrageous to me. I was so offended they completely disregarded my feelings at the front desk. Lastly, while at the cabanas on the beach I was extremely annoyed with all the vendors constantly coming up to us asking if I wanted to buy items. I’ve been to Mazatlán plenty of times and I don’t need any items! I couldn’t relax peacefully at the beach without people soliciting us! Those vendors shouldn't be allowed to cross the line where guests are sitting at on the beach! I was so annoyed and ruined my relaxation moment! So disappointed coming from west Texas I don’t recommend staying here!

The property has lots to offer. We had an ocean view room and enjoyed sunsets every night. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and enjoyed the buffet and made to order omelets. Close to lots of restaurants and shops

Basic hotel. Great location to restaurants. Strongly advise not doing the all inclusive. Do the European plan and get the free breakfast included and eat lunch and dinner elsewhere. Very minimal waiters on beach for drink orders.

La limpieza de la habitación es algo a destacar. El persona súper amable en todo momento. La vista al mar es estupenda. Tiene bastantes piscinas y algunas de ellas ideales para quienes viajan con pequeños. Tienen un cenote artificial y un barco que es muy interesante para los chicos. Tienen estacionamiento muy apropiado y accesible. La comida que ofrecen es deliciosa. Recomiendo este hotel ampliamente. Si hubiese un punto en el que se pudiera mejora, diría que la actualización de las habitaciones pero en realidad todo lo demás lo compensa con creces!

Most of the staff were great. Cafe for all inclusive is okay but you can't leave the cafe with your coffee. The bands on the beach are to loud and close to hotel can't hear anything but the horrible drums throughout the property. 4 of us got food poisoning from the buffet. Check out at 11 when you fly at 6pm isn't reasonable. We had to pay an extra 60 a room so we weren't on the street until our flight. Wouldn't recommend.. won't be back to that resort.

Everything was good not until somebody took one of our towel and we got charged for it. We tried to tell them it’s not our fault that one of their staff took it. Be aware of leaving your staff unattended!

Hotel is very spread out. We did not like that you could not get bottled water or a drink until 11:00 a.m. because that is when the bar opens even while having breakfast, no bottled water. Could not get toast, no toaster. Could not get latte etc while having breakfast or lunch etc because there is no machine anywhere that you can push a button and get different coffees. Coffee pot in room, which you have to ask for, requires opening the bag and pouring the coffee grounds into the small filter and hope the grounds do not get under the filter otherwise, you have a bunch of coffee grounds in your cup. Really cheap. Due to the age of the hotel, a large part is the old dark tiles which echos. The staircases in the older area are quite dark and it is hard to see the stairs. That was a big complaint we heard from a lot of olderish people. Food overall not bad. It definitely caters to Mexicans and the breakfast is a lot of the same. The location of the hotel is between 2 public pathways so you have a lot of locals setting up umbrellas. You also get a lot of Mariachi bands right in front of the hotel sometimes 2 or 3 bands at the same time which will play well after dark. Staff overall were quite nice, you play a lot of charades because they don't speak english. We would not go back to this hotel.

Clean rooms, staff was exceptionally nice & courteous, food was good. My only complaint would be the mariachi bands that compete on the beach in front of the resort everyday. Very loud & annoying.

Las condiciones de la playa, las albercas, el gimnasio y los restaurantes nos parecieron excelentes. El personal siempre se portó muy amable y atento. La habitación que nos tocó era un tanto austera. Sólo tenía 2 camas, una mesa y una barrita alargada para poner las cosas. No tenía otros muebles. No tenía caja fuerte (tuvimos que pedirla y nos llevaron una). Por lo demás, disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia en Hotel Playa Mazatlan.
