“We had a great time at Te Gjyshi. Located right by the fort and owned by the restaurant, with the same name, that has a long history of serving guests in Berat. The place was newly renovated and the views were better than shown in the pictures. Restaurant served delicious Albanian cuisine and you received a discount for being a hotel guest. “Great rooms, immaculate, comfortable, air conditioning good when I worked out how to work it. First remote was broken but reception quickly gave me a replacement. Rooms very spacious. Good breakfast selection. They took orders for coffee, the rest was buffet. Very helpful with taxi and directions to chemist due to me being unwell. Beautiful breathtaking views from breakfast table. We would definitely stay here again. Right in centre as well, 20 mins or so walk to the castle, 5 mins from river……
