This is our true idea of a beach shack. No fuss, just all the relaxed comfort of a place to get away in winter or summer. A place where we can walk barefoot and connect with the ocean and nature that surrounds us. Barrawarn is the indigenous name for The Magpie and you will find them calling you in the mornings with their song and visiting the garden and deck to say hello.
We connect with nature at the Number 16 Beach only a kilometre away. The walking track that takes you all the way along the Point Nepean National Park in the direction of Sorrento to Dimmicks Beach. If you want to continue the exercise then this part of the National Park is part of the Coastal Walk which you can take in either direction to Cape Schanck or Sorrento.
Along the way pick up your coffee fix from 16 Beach General Store the organic vegan stop for yummy food and provisions and on Sundays, you may stop longer and enjoy the live music. If you do want to head out and explore the dining options, The Cups Estate is a short drive down the road where you will find the most beautiful wine and food offerings.
For those that love to surf Rye Ocean Beach is only minutes away by car and Gunnamatta beach just a stretch further. Cool!

What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside.
Yay! a garden with tall fences to keep me safe. Love the trees and bushes, there are lots of interesting smells. Are those possums in the trees?
