「Teviot Cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It is in a great spot being walking distance to the High Street. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. It was good having a second toilet downstairs. It would be helpful if there were some hooks in the bathroom either behind the door or on the wall.」

「Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so...

「We stayed for a week in February, and it was fabulous. The weather was a bit damp on and off, but the Grooms Bothy was always warm and welcoming. (I want underfloor heating!). It’s well equipped, close to Kelso for everything you need, and in a quiet and pretty location. The owners live next door, and a with their 2 little dogs are friendly and on hand if you need something. The welcome pack of milk, snacks and wine was a lovely touch. The Borders are lovely, we really enjoyed travelling...
