A very relaxing stay with a wonderful host

The property was a typical Sicilian villa in the middle of the countryside. It was very quiet and as described on the listing. The pool area is lovely and very clean. The host was incredibly responsive and any minor issues were resolved quickly. Thanks for a great stay.

After an awful ordeal getting here, it was lovely to arrive at this serene place with views of olives and fruit trees with the sea in the distance. Well equipped, clean and spatious. Giovanni was incredibly helpful and friendly. Great to sample the wine his company produces. We enjoyed Selinunte, Segesta, Agrigento as well as Mazara. Lovely pizza at Regina D'alabastro, and incredible food at Da Vittorio in Porto Palo. Many thanks

Tolles Haus in toller Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist großzügig bemessen und (auch dank Klimaanlage) angenehm kühl, der Außenbereich ist riesig und man sieht sogar das Meer. Für uns und unsere Kinder perfekt! Die Strände in der Umgebung sind traumhaft und mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Giovanni war ein toller Gastgeber und hat uns mit vielen guten Tipps und seinem leckeren Öl versorgt. Auch im Vorfeld der Planung (durch COVID-19 erschwert) hat er uns super unterstützt und viel Geduld gehabt! Vielen Dank!

Très agréable location

Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux . La maison est agréable et fonctionnelle. Grande terrasse sur le toit et 2 autres en rez de chaussée. Terrain adapté pour la pétanque! Des plages magnifiques aux alentours et très calmes en septembre.

Erholung zwischen Oliven

Ein schönes, ruhiges Haus, an dem zwei mal am Tag eine Schafsherde vorbeizieht. Es ist schön geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Giovanni ist ein sehr netter, hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Die Strände der Umgebung sind sandig und toll. Die ganze Gegend ist von der Agrarwirtschaft geprägt, weswegen das Essengehen etwas schwieriger ist. Es gibt nur vereinzelte Restaurants, die man direkt ansteuern muss. Am besten also reservieren. Trapani im Westen und Agrigent im Osten sind mit dem Mietwagen gut zu erreichen. Insgesamt also ein toller Ort, um den Süden Siziliens zu erkunden.

Soggiorno a Menfi dal 22 al 29/06/2019

La Casa di Figurella è proprio un'Oasi di Relax nella campagna di Menfi - rinomata per le coltivazioni di viti e ulivi - dove abbiamo trascorso una piacevole settimana di autentico rilassamento e ristoro; collocata a circa 10 minuti di auto dalla splendida spiaggia di Portopalo di Menfi, l'abitazione in stile vintage, è dotata di un ampio patio esterno e le stanze spaziose, sono fornite di ogni comfort; la cucina, in particolare, è attrezzate nei minimi particolari con tutto il necessario per la preparazione e la conservazione dei pasti. Il proprietario Gianni, a cui va un ringraziamento davvero sentito per l'ospitalità squisitamente siciliana e la nobile gentilezza, dedica cure e attenzioni speciali ai suoi ospiti, accogliendoli con un cesto di benvenuto, fornito dei generi indispensabili, dona sollievo a chi arriva magari dopo un lungo viaggio, e permette di raccogliere le albicocche dal suo albero e di utilizzare l'olio da lui prodotto, per riscoprire i sapori autentici della terra. Per chi vuole trascorrere un periodo di relax, con la possibilità di raggiungere in poco tempo tantissime località artistico-culturali (Selinunte, Segesta, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala e le saline, Trapani, ma anche Sciacca, Santa Margherita del Belice, etc.) e godere, allo stesso tempo, la bellezza delle spiagge e del mare, questa location è sicuramente l'ideale. We spent a pleasant stay in Menfi. It was very enjoyable living in Giovanni's house. It was well located near the beaches, supermarkets and motorways. We could found quiteness, space and it was well equipped. Giovanni welcomed us very kindly. He is always receptive and always answers gladly to our questions. Die Vermieter waren außerordentlich zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kamen zu später Stunde in Menfi an. Die Gastgeber kamen uns entgegen und fuhren noch an einem Imbiss vorbei, damit wir uns stärken konnten. Sie brachten uns danach zu unserem freistehenden Haus mitten in Feldern mit Oliven, Zitronen usw. Dieses war sehr sauber und mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Tagsdrauf brachte uns der Vermieter noch Wein und Olivenöl aus eigenem Anbau vorbei und versorgte uns mit Tips bezüglich Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Auf dem Flachdach des Hauses befindet sich eine Sonnenterrasse mit Liegen. Das Schlafzimmer und der Wohnraum sind klimatisiert. Auch durften wir uns aus dem Garten (Oliven, Zitronen, Pflaumen, Feigen) bedienen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind 5 Automin. entfernt. Viele schöne Ausflugsziele sind von dort bequem erreichbar wie z.B. Palermo, Selinunte, sowie Erice (ca.1 Autostd.) Der nächstgelegene Strand liegt nur 10 Automin. entfernt, ist sehr schön, vor allem nicht so überlaufen. Wir haben nichts zu bemängeln und uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt. Immer wieder gerne!

Charming home in a great location!

This is a lovely, spacious property that is well positioned for exploring the west coast of Sicily. It is an hours drive north to Palermo, an hours drive south to Agrigento where you can see the Valley of the Temples and an hours drive east to Trapani where you can visit the beautiful town of Erice and the Aegadian Islands. Giovanni, our host, made us feel very welcome. His house was very clean and well equipped with all the necessary cooking equipment, including his own home made Olive Oil made from the olives grown on the grounds! There was a washing machine and iron so washing clothes was easy. We really enjoyed going up onto the roof at sun down to watch the sun setting on the horizon. It was very peaceful being surrounded by vineyards and orchards, but was only a 5 minute drive from Menfi where we could stock up on Sicilian wine for the evenings! This really is a great property and I would seriously recommend this to anyone looking to explore western Sicily! Thanks Giovanni!

La casa confortevole in Sicilia

Apartment was very comfortable and there was everything we needed. Less than 10km there was very nice sandy beach. Our host (Giovanni) was very kind and helpful. This was very nice stay in Sicily. I highly recommend this apartment. ---------------- L'appartamento era molto confortevole e c'era tutto il necessario. A meno di 10 km c'e molto bella spiaggia di sabbia. Il nostro ospite (Giovanni) è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Questo è stato molto bello soggiorno in Sicilia. Consiglio vivamente questo appartamento!

TOTALE RELAX

Deliziosa villetta immersa nella pace e tranquillità della campagna a pochi kilometri dal paese di Menfi. Proprietari cordiali e molto disponibili, al nostro arrivo ci hanno accolto con un cesto di frutta fresca e del buon vino. La villetta dotata di tutti i confort, pulita e in ottimo stato. La posizione ci ha permesso di visitare le spiagge vicine, posti incantevoli, mare trasparente e totale relax! Un ricordo che porterò sicuramente con me è legato ai colori del tramonto.....il momento più rilassante della giornata, dopo un giorno di mare, era sicuramente quello di rilassarsi davanti ad uno spettacolo di colori. Grazie x questa splendida vacanza, torneremo sicuramente!!

A perfect holiday from enquiry to leaving

We were a little late arriving after a difficult journey but our host was patiently waiting for us and showed us around the house and explained where every thing was and how to operate all the controls. He had even left some provisions to get us through the night as all the local shops were shut. The house is exceptionally well equipped, with most of the contents new as the house has recently been renovated. It is beautifully situated in a large garden with lemon, orange and olive trees. It is a very peaceful area surrounded by farm land yet only less than 10 minutes from 3 large supermarkets and from the flat roof there are great views of the surrounding country side and the sea. Menfi is a good place to stay as it is mid way between the large towns of Agrigento and Trapani both of which have some interesting places to see Sciacca is also worth a visit for its shops and port area and the views from San Calogero which overlooks Sciacca are spectacular. When visiting Agrigento near by Porto Empodocle is a must for all Montalbano fans as it's where they film the series. For beach lovers Porto Palo is a short distance away and has a lovely beach with all the necessary facilities. We found a really good restaurant on the road to Santa Margherita di Belice called La luna nella pozzo which serves local dishes which are delicious, its not the easiest place to find but well worth the effort. Overall we had one of the best holidays we have had in any part of Italy and Sicily more than lived up to our expectations. It was made more enjoyable by our host Giovanni for whom nothing was too much trouble, his help and advice was invaluable, a very comfortable house that has every mod con and the air conditioning was great for sleeping in the very warm nights. A house that we highly recommend and we will hopefully be returning to.
