We had the best time at HH. Beautiful home and that was cozy and comfortable for everyone. David is a fabulous host and made sure we did not need a thing! The extra goodies on the table were a special touch. My family says we will definitely stay at HH again soon!

Family weekend

Stayed here with my grown children, plenty of room, clean, the host was just marvelous. The weather was cold and rainy but we made the best of it. We would definitely stay again

Beautiful and comfortable

The listing was spot-on. Tucked back in the woods next to a large pond, the cabin sits a gorgeous location with a pastoral feel. Communication was the best we’ve experienced in our dealings with VRBO. Hope to return in the fall.

2nd Stay and just as great!

Wonderful house in a beautiful setting. Dozens of excellent works of art that were entertaining as well as intriguing. The home was well-appointed with everything needed to comfortably accommodate 8 adults. The host is incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year for round 3. Dwight L.

Weekend friends’ getaway.

Girlfriend getaway

Home in the mountains with plenty of room for your group to stay. Close to everything in Mentone and easy to get to Ft Payne, it has a beautiful view of the water.

Wonderful 8 Days!

The property is marvelous and the host is the best! The house was well-appointed with everything we needed. It was cozy, though large enough for our flow of guests. The decor is local art and you never quit noticing something new each day. We were centrally located near all the places we chose to drive. Having stayed at several VRBOs, none had met or exceeded this one!

Great stay at Huckleberry Haven

We had a great experience staying at Huckleberry Haven. David communicated regularly before, during, and after our arrival. He went out of his way to provide thoughtful amenities along with local suggestions. The property was clean, well supplied and well maintained. Would gladly stay there again, highly recommend.

Great Getaway

The house and rooms are larger than they appear in the photos. The area parks were very close for hiking, photo taking and the driveway added to our outdoor adventures !! The firepit, porches and quietness of the area added to our times to relax and just chill out. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your Mentone home.

Huckleberry "Heaven"

Love, love, love everything about our stay! The house was spacious, clean, and well stocked for everyday use and the communication with the owner was an A+++! We were in close proximity to all the places we wanted to visit, but looked forward to coming back to our home away from home at the end of the day. The value for this property was absolutely excellent. We will definitely be back!

Fall Family Gathering

This house was absolutely amazing. It had everything to make are stay comfortable. A well stocked kitchen, s’mores kit for the fire pit, comfy beds, beautiful view from the porch and plenty of space. Our host was exceptional in sharing information and communicating.

Siblings Vacation

Wonderful

We have traveled to Mentone several times over the years. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Beautiful cabin located in close proximity to everything. We plan on going again. And a major item for us is that it is pet friendly. Millie our miniature poodle loved her visit also.

Our second time staying at this wonderful property!

We loved this house so much that we returned this year for fall break. The house is so cozy and well stocked - it's like staying at a friend's house! The house has ample space, comfortable beds, plenty of TVs, inviting porches and splendid, whimsical artwork. David the host is amazing and so kind. Mentone in the fall is beautiful and we were lucky to have fabulous weather. We hiked at the State Park and enjoyed the DeSoto Falls. Highly recommend this property!

The cabin was perfect for our cousins getaway. Convenient to towns,cozy, well stocked. The porches were relaxing for reading, bird watching and conversations. Surroundings were tranquil. Family Visit

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin so much! It is the prettiest cabin we have ever rented, and it was super clean. We had nine family members and there was plenty of room. The cabin is filled with original art. The kitchen was well equipped, and the owner left s'more fixings, cookies, and a bag of fresh picked apples for us. We spent a lot of time on the front and back porches and the view of the lake was incredible! We would definitely recommend staying here and plan to come back.

Solace in a lovely decorated home above a quiet lake

Stayed a Huckleberry Haven for 3 nights in wonderful Mentone. It's a gorgeous property at the end of a gravel county road, above a quiet lake with beavers, turtles and fish. The artwork is well appointed, the house nicely put together. And the host was wonderful and attentive. Ed
