「A tidy and well-maintained place, conveniently located in the heart of the city. We stayed in the family room, which was spacious and comfortable, making for a very pleasant visit. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a great selection of delicious pastries.」

「Mat and Wolfie made our stay at the Wellington wonderful! Both were helpful with suggestions for hikes and food. We had long conversations with each. The pub had a nice fire,and Wolfie was kind, hospitable, and intriguing. Mat helped us find the most perfect room as we were walkins arriving just before dinner. He told us stories and laughed and enjoyed our interest in the area. It was definitely one of our most favorite stays in the UK. The hotel is charming and a quintessential UK pub hotel....

「The owner was just fantastic, so attentive to our needs and the secret way to locate the property, (if you know, you know, it is a genius), the first people and or persons we were introduced to were three stunning horses. (Two of our favourite royals after Kate of course, & My Wife' nickname), we loved the alpacas, the rabbits, the dogs and it was just so picturesque and beautiful. Our whole holiday was just perfect we didn't want to leave. We would love to see the owner again and love that part...

Restaurant ran out of some menu items by the time we could eat. Food was meh. This hotel is farther away from city center and to get to more eating places is about 20 minute walk. 「Fantastic hotel in a lovely spot and not far from Padstow or Port Isaac etc.. The rooms were clean and well equipped with comfy (if slightly soft) beds, a Dyson fan if required and even Sky TV! Staff were very helpful and efficient. The gym was very well equipped despite being small and the spa facilities were excellent. I had a Cowshed Spa treatment which was very thorough and relaxing.
