“We stayed here to attend a nearby wedding.. 4 generations together . Cottage is fantastic, equipped with everything you could possibly need . Beautiful garden where we played croquet. Ages ranged from 9-93. Such amazing hosts, listening to John’s history was fascinating. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Mum didn’t attempt the spiral staircase but was able to climb the exterior staircase to the lounge . If you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet, get away this is your place.”

“Spent 4 nights in this lovely, comfortable and well equipped property. Great location with walks from the door and well placed to explore the Holme Valley, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Coal Mining Museum and for wandering off to the Peak District. Also convenient for Huddersfield. Quiet location minutes from Almondbury where there are shops, pubs cafe and also from Farnley Tyas and it’s pub. Note: the property is on a bus route to Huddersfield. Would we stay again? Definitely ”

“Really nice cottage, all useful things provided plus a selection of treats! Dog friendly, in fact the owner went over & above. Would stay again, great place for walking & local pubs, some you will need a car for, but that wasn't an issue. Many thanks for sorting out my inability to put the washing machine just on spin!”

“We stayed here as we were going to the picture drome in holmfirth, what a beautiful little house with amazing views. The bed was so comfortable and a nice big bath. 10/10 we are already planning to come back next year sometime ”
