The good, the bad, and the ugly. The ugly: checking in on January 16 around 6:30 PM the front desk person was rude by texting on her cellphone when I arrived. I stood at the desk without her even making eye contact with me or acknowledging that I was there for checking in, she was more interested on her phone than welcoming the customer. After she was done texting, she proceeded to check me in and there was never a smile or a warm manner to communicate. 2 days later I needed to ask her something and once again, her phone was her priority and zero friendliness from her part. The Bad: yes, I know it rains in Florida, yes, I know it pours sometimes; However, my room got a big leak from the ceiling that got the floor and surroundings wet. My husband went in person to the front desk to ask for towels to contain the water and ONE hr goes by and no one showed up with the towels. Luckily, we had the door open and someone who was a hotel worker walked by and I call her to show her how wet the floor was and she herself went and got extra towels. The shower door had mold around the edges and by the lower caulking, the door hinges, the shower tile mold, mold, mold. The shower needs deep cleaning big time!!! also, the first night, there was hair strands over the bed sheet, were the sheets cleaned or even changed? The Good: The restaurant that is by the hotel lobby has great food and the restaurant workers all were so nice and welcoming. Would not come back here again.

My stay was very uncomfortable!!! First of all, the hotel is misleading about the side parking. On the website they state that parking is available, but in reality they say, “Sorry, this is old information.” For me, this was extremely important!!! Parking nearby is very difficult. Secondly, it was important for me to have a kitchen, but the stove was barely working. There were cockroaches!!! And the neighbors in other rooms were very loud. The only positive thing was the polite front desk staff. Overall, I did not like staying at this hotel.

Room was okay, however, shower pressure NOT GOOD, friendly room cleaning staff. Parking was NOT at all what they said, extremely expensive and written wrong on their website and confirmation emails! The best part of our stay was at the restaurant on site (not part of the hotel) and our bartender Tamara was amazing, very friendly! Not sure I would stay again.

This hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. The property is older and in need of some updates but that did not bother us too much. The lack of an elevator to the upper floors can be a challenge if you’re carrying heavy suitcases like we were. The staff behind the desk was not super friendly. The location was great though, a short walk to the beach. The onsite restaurant was excellent. We arrived fairly late on a Friday night and it was great to be able to grab a quick dinner there and not have to search for something. Our meals were excellent and the wait staff super friendly. We enjoyed breakfast there the following morning, it was “ok” not fabulous but definitely adequate and convenient. All in all it was a good value for the price and I would stay here again especially if budget was a main priority.

The entrance is hard to find. It has a large Monticello sign over the lobby, not Oceanside Hotel. The building is an older property of the art deco style. It is also not on the ocean. It has no elevators and no handicapped parking. Parking is one block away.

Check-in was late by an hour. We had dinner reservations to make and almost missed them. The description for parking on Expedia shows that the hotel does NOT have parking, but lists the address: 6372 Collins Ave for overnight parking at an additional cost. We parked our car there, and followed the instructions by using Parkmobile app

The room was fine. No smart TV. Beds are very comfortable, very clean. Buy the rooms always has this smell that never lesves. Like damp type smell. Staff is awesome, very helpful and attentive. No parking and this place makes sure everyone is really out by 11am. They dont play around with that. Last concern is how long it takes to get your $100 deposit back. Ive been waiting for over two weeks now.

I booked for 3 night and didn’t stay one night there. The room wasn’t like anything shown online. It smelled horrible and the room was dirty. I immediately left after 5 mins of check-in and ask for a refund. It was my husband birthday. They wouldn’t refund my payment and we have to spend more money to stay somewhere else. Cesar the front desk was very kind and understanding.

Depuis plusieurs années, j’utilise Expédia pour mes réservations, et c’est la première fois que je vis une expérience aussi décevante. J'avais réservé deux chambres dans cet hôtel pour une nuit. Ce fut une déception totale. Les photos des chambres sur Expedia ne correspondent pas à la réalité, Nous étions un groupe de 4 adultes et 1 enfant. Nous sommes arrivés vers 15h30 et les chambres n'étaient pas prêts. Comme l’heure d’enregistrement était fixée à 16h, nous avons profité de ce temps pour aller manger. Je suis retourné au lobby vers 17h15 et seulement l’une des chambres étaient enfin disponibles. Dans la chambre 2103, le mini-frigo ne fonctionnait pas, les lits étaient inconfortables, et la salle de bain était tellement exiguë que le lavabo se trouvait à l’extérieur. La porte de la salle de bain fermait mal, et le ménage laissait clairement à désirer : des cheveux étaient encore visibles au sol. La peinture et le mobilier étaient également très défraîchis. Quant à la piscine, impossible de savoir où se trouve celle mise en avant sur les photos : celle que nous avons vue était minuscule. Nous n’avons pu accéder à la deuxième chambre que peu avant 18h, soit près de deux heures après l’heure prévue. Heureusement que ce séjour ne durait qu’une nuit. Une chose est sûre : je ne remettrai plus jamais les pieds dans cet hôtel. À ÉVITER ABSOLUMENT!

I never review, but this needs a much lower avg rating, which was why I stayed. It's NOT Oceanside. It's in the middle of a busy intersection with the pool near the street and passersby. Maybe 10 minutes walk to the beach. Was told there's no parking for the hotel. Zero. That should be advertised or maybe can be the new name of the hotel. Call it a $40/nite oceanside valet bonus fee, then put that on top of the resort fee. I recommend saving a little with the $36 parking tickets, or maybe you get lucky and find free 11pm-7am parking or whenever time I was told is free at the nearest beach park. 100% DON'T bring a car. Rooms are modern and clean. Nice, so a star for that. Then no coffee in room or on site per front desk. That discouraged me from trying attached possibly unrelated restaurant. There's an awkward paper receipt system to get a pool or beach towels, or pay a $25 fee.... Stay apparently also included a single, nightly, (1) free preselected cocktail too, perfectly named a "happy hour" to pair nicely with the paved asphalt Oceanside theme. Also no ESPN, I think a few local/random channels, and the weird Roku live channels + Netflix and apps. Biggest thing= name is purely false advertising. Then to not offer a valet service, or to be partnered with a lot in the area? Not ok. Sell it already. I won't be back, as long as I'm paying or choosing. Change seems inevitable, and I wish all the staff the best, as all those I saw all did their jobs to the best of their ability.
