Great for Weekend Buddies Trip

Worked out great for our needs. 9 adults, and everyone had an excellent time. In particular, it was nice for everyone to have their own bed, and the en suites for each bedroom made showering and such a breeze. The guest house was a fun addition. The kitchen had all of the amenities that we could possibly need. Overall, we were very happy.

Great gathering place

We loved our stay at A Wave From it All! It was close to the welcome center and its amenities and the pool, as well as being only a short walk to the beach. We had a big screened porch and a large open gathering area in the living room/dining room/ kitchen. Well-stocked kitchen. Extra house also provided privacy for the seven adults of our group.

Great Location, Awesome Property, Always Room For Improvement

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We leased 3 homes for extended family in June 2023. We had minor cleaning issues in all three homes. Our daughter stayed in this carriage home with her family and found a smoke detector hanging loose and the exit to the garage locked creating a concern for her safety.We pointed out our concerns to all three homes to the management company on our exit and requested a follow up and consideration of a discount for a future stay however we never received any contact.

Aware From It All Property Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property and great location. Property was clean and had everything we needed. The Beachwalk office was helpful also when we needed a few more towels and recreation passes. A couple of things we noticed - the main bathroom in the big house - the plug didn't work when someone tried to plug in a hairdryer; we thought the kitchen could have used some more pantry/cupboard space. There were plenty of dishes and other kitchen stuff. We did run out of gas when grilling. It was unclear to me whether or not there was a gauge that showed the tank getting empty. I called the office and they said to bring tank in and they would give us a new one but we didn't do it because we didn't grill any more. The screened porch was a favorite gathering place as was the outside table with umbrella. We did use the fire pit one night and made so-mores. Think that's it - we enjoyed the property immensely.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have had our annual family trip in Beachwalk for 7 years now! It's amazing how far the resort has come in the last few years. We decided to stay at Awave From It All for the second time because the layout is perfect for our family size (8 adults and 6 kids). It's also super close to the pool which is a big plus! The only downsides: the floors were very dirty when we arrived - my daughter had dirt marks all over her knees after crawling for a few minutes. Also, the golf cart seems to be on its last leg.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Awave From it All. The location of the house was perfect, a short walk to the pool and the beach. It was on a nice quiet street and had ample parking. The guest house was a lovely addition to the main house. The large screened in porch at the main house was great for family time.The main house and guest house were clean and had everything we needed. The golf cart was a perfect addition making for easy travel especially to the beach. We loved making S'mores with our children and grandchildren around the firepit. The location, just a little over an hour from Chicago, is a big plus for us. Being in Michigan City gave ready access to dining, the Zoo, the Botanic Gardens and Blueberry picking. In addition, there is a Tesla Supercharger in Michigan City. The property management staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We have already reserve this house for next summer. We all had a great time and are looking forward to next year.

Great gathering space

We recently entertained our family of 35 this past weekend. Although Thanksgiving day was at our own home in St. Joseph, MI, we spent the weekend bouncing between my sister's personal home in Beachwalk and another rental in the same complex. Our home BY FAR served as the best for entertaining a large group of people. The space allowed for a large open floor plan, with plenty of tables to gather and play games. Those that chose not to play games had plenty of room to sit and talk in small groups. All the kids were able to separate and be in the downstairs area where they all had fun playing and hiding from each other. Rooms were clean and shower pressure was awesome! Everyone enjoyed their own space-including the lucky ducks in the guesthouse who needed to get away form the noise earlier than others....Definitely a consideration for next time.

Great property but...

Reviewer Comments: Really nice house and carriage house, great location, has everything you need to stay there and I think every guest after us will have a fabulous time. I think we must of been the first ones of the season because little things kept popping up. Before I list some of the things, I will say the staff at the office was extremely nice and efficient and the maintenance man was on top of everything instantly. When we arrived, there was someone else's underwear in the drawer and one of the trash cans outside had old, old trash in it. We threw away the underwear and alerted the office about the trash. First time coming back from the beach the outdoor shower did not work - they came over immediately and fixed it.The golf cart kept losing power after only driving a short distance so after a couple days of this, I told the office and they came over and discovered that the battery we had been connecting was not property connected to the house. It worked perfectly after that.Mid-week temps dropped to the low 50s and we turned on the heat, we started noticing a smell in the carriage house - thought it was charcoal we put in there to keep dry so we aired it out but that didn't change anything so we told the office and they checked - said it was a gas leak and that they had tightened up the connections. Next day still smelled so they called NIPSCO but in the meantime, found another place it was leaking and tightened that which solved the problem. However, we were reluctant to use the building after that and all of us fit in the main house.Screws on the deck should be tightened down so that they don't snag feet. - didn't mention that to the office so next renter should beware.Again, I think these were early season things that the homeowner should of caught upon opening the house for the season so I doubt anyone else will have any problems and will enjoy being able to spread out and enjoy a beautiful community with great amenities.

Beachwalk resort stay

Our family had a wonderful time. Making reservations, communication after and check in were easy and informative. Had to call to add parking passes and office staff were friendly and enthusiastic. They made us feel very welcome! The pool, lake, recreational options, and access to Lake Michigan were so great. Definitely plan to come back next year.

Great friends getaway

Our large group of friends were very comfortable in the house. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and the kitchen was well stocked to cook in or get takeout. The only downside was that construction noise on the new build next door started at 7am on Saturday. Overall, would certainly stay again!!

Loved the one level living space in the main house and on the entry level of the guest house. We have three generations under one roof some needing easy accessibility. A Home Away From Home

Everything a renter could want or possibly need was available from the kitchen to the garage accessories. The parking next to the unit was an added bonus so that several occupants could remain onsite. The house was well maintained and attention to maintenance needs were readily addressed. Customer service was good from the answering service to follow-up. Things to be improved are: a step stool to reach higher cabinet areas, a juicer for squeezing citrus, improved WIFI (which may not be possible due to a large household using devices). I would definitely recommend the property to a friend or relative but advise them if they want community cooking, the kitchen area design is not amenable to multiple members.
