"Lovely helpful staff and amazing shower
They did say were renovating, room did need a little bit of finishing touches
But nice pub and enjoyed our stay"
"Really warm welcome at the hotel, taken to our room which was very clean cosy and snuggly. Amenities in the room excellent and we were catered for well, including sufficient space for the dogs.
Ate two nights in the bar/restaurant, staff very good, food lovely, excellent selection for gluten free which was amazing to experience.
A lovely restful couple of days and made
To feel exceptionally welcome "
"I've stayed here multiple times and it is a gem. Located close to the Bovington Tank Museum it has cozy rooms and a wonderful pub with a solid menu, including being extremely good for people with food allergies. I have celiac disease and having several gluten free options (e.g., starters, entres, deserts, beer, etc) at a small hotel is unexpected. The staff is also extremely nice and helpful and even put together a gluten free tradiitoonal breakfast to go since my train left before they opened breakfast."
"A lovely old building which could have been so nice but it really wasn’t. On the plus side it was warm ( October stay ), plenty of hot water, a good location for visiting the coast - Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth. Unfortunately it smells very damp and is in need of upgrading. It also should have been cleaner, especially the kitchen. The surfaces were sticky and greasy, the seals are mouldy and coming away from the walls and worktops, there was mouldy bread in the bread bin. In my opinion overpriced for this standard of accommodation "
"Myself and my family had a fabulous weeks holiday. The house was absolutely perfect for the 11 of us. The house is beautiful and the grounds are superb. We had two dogs with us and they were able to run around everywhere with no worries of getting out. Dinning table big enough to seat us all which was great. The house is beautifully decorated and enough room for everyone. It’s a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach which was pebbly. Make sure you have those waterproof shoes otherwise it’s virtually impossible to get in the water. We just had our crocs which was quite hard, but we made it. There is a cafe and toilets down there too. Near enough to do everything. Weymouth harbour is beautiful and the beach was great, this was sand. Loads of shops and lots to do. We also went to monkey world and the tank museum. Fabulous memories. "
"The property was fantastic - had everything you need with a lovely tranquil setting and amazing views! The communication with the owner was good too - very helpful and attentive, and like how they helped with the hot tub!The site is also great with activities to do and brilliant facilities - the pool is brilliant, I just wish we’d had better weather! The staff are all so very friendly and service is excellent! Great holiday!"
Lakeside retreat with hot tub, games room and on-site spa and pool

"This was the perfect house and location for our family stay! Great hot tub, lakeside views, use of paddleboard and kayaks. We were blessed with sunny weather and did not need to leave. Miranda was an available and helpful host and we would definitely love to return another year.! "
