Wonderful Stay!

Family trip for the 4th

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was great except we did not have a golf cart do to it being broke down. And when I called to see about it I never received a call back. The golf cart also had been broke down since June 23. Abd we arrived june 28th.This is a golf cart community and is hard to get around with a normal car.

Family vacation for the 4th

Property was really nice. Had a couple things that we needed help with and when calling the property manager they fixed everything immediately and promptly. We enjoyed the house and golf cart! Property was very clean! We will be back!

easy vacation stay

Comfortable and spacious home. Managed by a larger rental company that provides very little in terms of supplies - only two trashbags, two dishwasher tabs, and minimal basics in the kitchen (only salt/pepper) so prepared to bring your own basics. Easy access to beach with good instructions for golf cart. Comfortable beds with good water pressure in bathrooms.

Perfection!

We stayed at this bungalo for 6 days and it was absolute perfection! We were amazed at the cleanliness of the house, it was spotless! Sheets and towels were also extremely soft and beds so comfy. We appreciated the stools as well for the kids to use in the bathrooms. The kids loved the games and all of the beach accessories came in extremely handy as well. The golf cart was so convenient and the kids loved riding around on it. We stayed in a different area of Sandestin last year, but have to say the bungalows are now our favorite! We will be back!

Family Vacation

This was our second stay at this property. The first time was in 22 and we loved and had zero issues. This stay we had an amazing time again and the property was exactly as we experienced last time with a few exceptions. 1. Every outlet located outside the house for ease of charging the golf cart weren’t working. Of course we checked breakers etc and only to find them all operational. Yet the outlets were not working at all. Long story short is that they delivered a new extension cord to continue to only be able to charge the cart from inside the house. They did dispatch an electrician finally that did not fix the problem. 2. Property Mgt communication could have been stronger. No contact post electrician regarding an update and no real acknowledgment of the challenge about the way needed to keep the cart charged, leaving the door open, essentially… Not the best!

Great Location with Awesome Layout

This is our second stay at this particular bungalow, previously staying there in 2022. In 2023 we stayed at a different bungalow on the same block. The check in process was very simple. The location is amazing with a community pool just a couple hundred feet away. The golf cart is also very convenient for exploring Sandestin and heading to the beach. The bungalow overall is in good condition with tasteful decor, comfortable beds and a great layout for a family with kids. At the time we booked, this bungalow commanded a premium price to others on the street including the one we stayed at in 2023. We were okay with this because our 2022 stay delivered a very updated, clean and well taken care of property. This year we noticed a lot more wear and tear. The furniture on the screened in deck was worn out and uncomfortable. The washing machine and dryer were loud and the dryer took 3 cycles to dry towels. The golf cart batteries appear to be worn out as we nearly got stranded at one point on the opposite side of Sandestin. We also figured out that the house has an electrical issue so to charge the cart, we had to run an extension cord to an indoor outlet. We found out they were aware of this issue but had not fixed it. The only other hiccup was trying to find the beach toys. We ended up locating them in a box on the outside of the house after a lengthy phone call with he rental company. We would consider staying again if they property was given some TLC.

Nice stay

The property was fantastic. Exactly as it appeared in photos. Very roomy and comfortable, bright and beachy. We loved the house. It was also very clean, but the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because we had to kill 4-5 huge cockroaches inside throughout the week. This was disturbing and scary for the kids. I don’t know how to prevent this, as I realize they are common in the area, but still startling to have them inside! The neighborhood was so nice and well located. Great walking trails everywhere. The pool was nice but a bit small and we did not enjoy the late afternoon sprinklers coming on while at the pool as the smell was sewage-like. Maybe suggest to the owners association that these run early in the morning instead. We loved having the golf cart. It was in great condition and a wonderful way to get around. Overall the stay was fantastic. The only big word of caution for anyone thinking of traveling here for a beach vacation….the beach access for the resort is way way beyond overcrowded and overpopulated. The first day we took our golf cart to the beach at 11:00-11:30 a.m. and had trouble finding even the smallest open area to put down our stuff. There are rows and rows of rental chairs/umbrellas. It was absolutely the worst beach experience we’ve ever had. We ended up driving to Dune Allen beach on 30A each day which was far less crowded, but obviously far less convenient. For this reason, we would never stay at Sandestin Gold and Beach Resort again.

Beach getaway

Great trip. Perfect house setup for 6 people, but could have easily handled more than 2 in the bunk room. Loved that each bedroom had its own bath. Golf cart made it easy to get to the beach and around the neighborhood.
