Enjoy dinners, sunsets and star gazing from the private dock 200' out on Mobile Bay. Explore the bay with our 2 Kayaks, relax in the Adirondack chairs on the boathouse or fish from the pier after a visit to the Bait shop.
Pets Welcome for a fee, please include them in your guest list when booking.
The house has a deck facing the Bay if you want to stay close to the kitchen for snacks and drinks. County Road 1 offers quiet walks in the morning and the marsh wildlife waking up offers an incredible experience of sights and sounds.
Fairhope's quaint downtown is 11 miles North, convenient but far enough to keep the city lights from drowning out the magnificent night sky. The beaches of Gulf Shores are a 35-minute drive South, or head North for the city lights of Mobile at about the same distance.

We decided to go on a last-minute trip, and this home was available. It was perfect—quiet, away from downtown, and equipped with a kitchen and washer/dryer. We enjoyed fishing and watching dolphins from the dock.

So enjoyed our stay. Great location. So peaceful and quite and close to downtown Fairhope. Loved the water view in the mornings and sitting on the dock in the evenings. Had everything we could need. Would stay there again for sure.

Breathtaking Sunsets

My family and I really enjoyed staying at the Kayak the Bay. It was very nice, clean, comfortable, and quiet with all the needed amenities. The master suite was very spacious and had an excellent view of the bay. Also had great views from the living and dining rooms. We really enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and on the deck admiring the beautiful bay. The pier was amazing! The host was very pleasant, hospitable, and responsive. We have been staying at bay houses for over 15 years, and this has been one of the best! Looking foward to returning!

Great Getaway!

The location was very convenient to nearby Fairhope and for a daytrip to Gulfshores, and the property was very comfortable with great views of Mobile Bay. We enjoyed the pier. Wonderful for family.

Wonderful and convenient

This is my 2nd stay at this property. The house is clean and comfortably furnished. The pier is a huge asset and a perfect place for sea bird & sunset viewing! Very convenient location. The host is super responsive and provides everything you could need. I hope to return next year.

Great house with stunning views of the bay! Found the house to be clean and as described. All three of the bedrooms are separated with the two larger ones being on opposite sides of the house. The master BR has windows looking out on the bay which offers beautiful views as you wake up. The living room is cozy and has a small sitting area in the front where you can enjoy views of the bay in climate control if it’s too hot outside. There is a large well equipped kitchen and dining area that have good view of the bay as well. The dock was the highlight of the property with a covered area out of sun and an extension in front of this were you can sit in the sun. House was a fairly quick drive to Magnolia Springs and Fairhope which offer great restaurants and shopping. Douglas was very responsive to all my questions and made check in a breeze.

The property is located south of Windy Point and is a perfect location to enjoy your morning cup of coffee and a late afternoon beverage while enjoying the sunset! We stayed 3 nights. The place was clean. Id give it a 7. The bed in master was too soft and definitely needed new pillows and towels for the bathroom. The 4 days we were there we enjoyed immensely. it was great being on the bay. Douglas was very helpful.

Celebrating our Mothers 89th Birthday! We all enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Mama didn’t go out on the pier. Me and my sister did. Got a bit of sun. Worth it.

Booked last minute fleeing the hurricane. We will be back. Owner was super nice and knew we had nowhere to go and let us check in early. My babies both caught their first fish off the dock and the sunsets rival the best Florida sunsets.

A Great Place to Kick Back

This was an excellent property for my sister & I to relax and recharge during a weekend of family birthdays. The house was a perfect size, clean and welcoming. The owner was very responsive. The view of The Bay was outstanding! Great pier! The kayaks were a big hit with my sister and the flat area was perfect for walking and biking. Overall, I rank this house a 5! Great Weekend Escape

Class A Experience!

We were very impressed with the property and the whole process went smooth start to finish. I really appreciated all the thoughtful and personal touches and the owner's concern we had everything we needed and we really did and more. Since it was cool when we were there I loved the sun porch with windows you could open and comfy chairs. That was the pups favorite room too as watching the big birds out the windows was a treat for them. Everything was clean, beds comfy, so we were comfortable "living" there all week, tastefully decorated too. The pier was crazy cool and the best one I have experienced. We will definitely be back when it is warmer so we can use it more. Wonderful host! Ten Stars! (don't tell everybody)

Classic Mobile Bay Experience

This is a very nice property in great condition on the shore of Mobile Bay. It's a very comfortable house for 6-7 folks depending on ages and it has a dock that is very well maintained with comfortable chairs for relaxing and enjoying the great sunsets. Communication with the host was excellent and very prompt. We have family in the area and rent occasionally when everyone is in town because we need the extra room. It's nice to find a place on the bay where we can experience what the bayfront has to offer. I would rent here again without question. Thank you for a great stay!

Kayak at the Bay

We had a wonderful time at Kayak at the Bay! We spent a lot of time out on the dock fishing and spending time together as a family. We caught several trout and catfish with the help of our friends down at the Fishermen’s Discount. Thanks to the fully stocked kitchen we were able to cook most of our dinners, but we did enjoy eating at Kraver’s Seafood in Daphne and Another Broken Egg Cafe in Fairhope. Make sure to stop by Fairhope Soap Company while you’re visiting and pick up some local soaps and bath-bombs for the kiddos! We are very thankful for Mr. Douglas’s hospitality while we were down visiting Fairhope. He was always very prompt on answering questions and providing recommendations. All in all we had a wonderful end of the summer vacation at Kayak at the Bay!
