Talbot Hotel Midleton

"The Talbot in Midleton is our go-to for a reliably comfortable and convenient base in East Cork. We've stayed here multiple times over years. The first time was simply that I was looking for a hotel with reliable internet, after the one we'd picked turned out to be not reliable at all. Midleton is a lovely town. We loved it immediately and were sorry to see it harmed by the floods of a couple of years ago or so. However, it's well recovering and always lively. Plus it's so close to Cork, Ballymaloe, various beautiful coastal towns. We are picky about hotels and the Midleton is a solid choice every time. We appreciate it and recommend it. Nice room, good beds, bedding, towels; good internet; big car park (no charge); decent breakfast; on-site bar and restaurant. Plus a whole sports facility we've never used. All good."

"Beautiful place, awesome service. Such a great location, beautiful property, amazing dinner, delicious breakfast. Ballymaloe is an experience not to be missed. Particularly loved the water kefir at breakfast, the various fruits prepared in different ways, oatmeal, big jug of cream! Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely loved staying there just off the road but very quiet great info from proprietor re getting there lots of parking quite beautiful setting Large room with en big suite V comfy bed nice and warm with large radiator beautiful view from window god choice of breakfast For gluten free food need to inform them before arrival Great coffee Enjoyed chatting with John After bfast"

"Beautiful setting nestled into the cliff. A lot of the roof of the building was natural which made for a more, naturalist type setting. Taking the Cliff Walk was experience we will never forget, the waves crashing created clouds of mist made us feel like we were in another era. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Excellent location for costal visits. Room was huge and very comfortable. Ideal if you have a rental car as it can be tricky to get to by public transport. Environment was relaxing and welcoming. Such a delightful experience would visit again!"
