“This was absolutely the best bird viewing accommodation we had on our trip to Costa Rica. The apartment is efficient but comfortable with some beautiful features. The large bedroom and kitchen windows offer excellent views straight into the rainforest or out over the hillside garden facing West for spectacular sunsets. The patio opens at mid tree level perfect to see the dozens of types of birds as they go about their business. We saw several birds from the patio we had only heard elsewhere. ……

“C’est un hébergement typiquement costaricain C’est sobre mais très propre. Des recommandations ont été faites à l’hôte qui verra à bonifier les lieux. Gérard est un hôte fabuleux très disponible et même nous a offert de voir une maman paresseux à proximité. Ça été notre plus belle observation de paresseux car la mère s’est déplacée d’une branche à l’autre avec son bébé sur le ventre. Gérard nous a donné de son temps. It would not have mattered though, as we were given no instructions to get into the apartment. We tried to call and message the host, but no response. VRBO also tried to contact the host but could not. We got a refund, but it was late and we had a very difficult time finding another place to stay. I hope it was just a……

“Adan and Marianne were perfect hosts and far exceeded our expectations. Communication and check-in were easy and they even called to help us navigate a GPS error (on our part) on our way there. Property was clean and their flowers were beautiful. They gave us fresh fruit and pastries in the morning. Our 2 young kids quickly took to Adan and Marianne, plus their two adorable dogs. “Our stay in La Fortuna was truly magical. The unit was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and everything was perfectly prepared for our late-night arrival. “The apartment was intimate, cozy, and overall clean. Check in was smooth and level of security was good. With all this said there were opportunities of improvement: 1. Unfortunately, there was an ink stained towel awaiting us in the bathroom. More towels were provided to us but yet again we found the same issue. 2. For there to be so much rain we didnt have any inside critters but there was leakage from the ceiling in the corner of the bedroom. We also noticed broken/ missing window curtains.……
