“Cute place, helpful host.”

“This property is exactly what we needed. Clean, practical and a central point for our excursions. The staff was extremely helpful. Our original room had some noise issues and we were promptly accommodated and given alternative accommodation. The breakfast was substantial and of great quality. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel which is very useful as the hotel does not offer lunch or dinner. A bit noisy at times but that is taken care of by the owners who provide ear plugs in every room.……

“Our stay at Cala Lodge was an absolute delight! What a very special place Francisco and family have created! We loved staying in the Mathilda House. It was perfect for our family of 5, ages 14-82, nestled in the cloud forest with floor to ceiling windows. It was incredible to see wildlife pass by, we felt lucky to be guests in their well-loved and protected forest. We had dreams and conversations with the howler monkeys throughout the night, and agoutis, coatis and diverse birds were easily seen……

“酒店位于山上，条件还行服务合格但说不上非常好。也许是因为我们刚从La Fortuna最好的酒店过来，也许是因为前面关于这个酒店的评语都太好了把我的期望抬高了，毕竟这个酒店价格不是很高，只有La Fortuna的酒店一半价格，甚至连一半也不到。这样看就还是可以的，但是我还是坚持给四个星，因为我最不满意的是房间没有遮光窗帘，我天天五点多就被亮光叫醒，另外我不喜欢高枕头，所以觉得枕头太高，最后一天我只能枕浴巾。”

“Check-in was smooth and easy with a welcome drink. After checking in, we walked to our rooms and found it to be spacious and nicely furnished, however the interior seems a bit outdated with wooden panel walls that has a old funk. We noticed the towels and shower robes also smelling like it. Given we are in/near nature, there were plenty of bugs outside the perimeter as well as some creepy crawlers inside.
