Very limited choice for dining, although excellent meal. Unannounced breakfast buffet because too many clients on Friday. Limited choice and almost cold. I have had a far better expérience at that inn a few years ago. Will not return.

We stayed at Auberge Des Gallants as an alternative to staying at a Montreal hotel for the F1 Grand Prix and I am so incredibly happy that we did! The location was gorgeous - close enough to Montreal that the drive was reasonable but far enough away to truly feel like an escape from the city. Although the guest room was nothing particularly special (but still very clean and extremely comfortable), the rest of the resort was like a dream. The grounds are stunning, with beautiful gardens and so much wildlife that it felt like a fairy forest. The food was amazing - our dinner at the restaurant was quite literally the best food my boyfriend and I have ever experienced (I cannot recommend the scallop appetizer enough). The shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided in the bathroom instantly became a new favourite of mine that I’ll be ordering for myself at home. I was a bit concerned that we might have an issue because neither my boyfriend nor I speak French, but the staff were lovely and very helpful and the language barrier was not an issue at all. Considering how affordable our one-night stay was compared to Montreal hotels, we were extremely impressed with the quality of our experience. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough - after spending a single night there, my boyfriend and I knew this would become a special place for us and that we would absolutely be returning again.

Lovely room, very large and clean. Great bathroom - a compendium would have been useful, as the shower was very confusing. Had a very nice dinner and lunch in the restaurant, and the hot tubs were lovely. Beautiful garden area as well. The information on the webste mentioned laundry facilities, however a request to use a machine for one load (which we would do ourselves) led to such confusion and consternation, that we let it go. A shame, because there was not a coin laundry to be found, even after driving for more than half an hour. A similar level of confusion arose when we tried to use the $15 food and beverage voucher we had been given. I suppose the most concerning thing was the level of unconcern shown by the majority of the staff. The exception was the young man who was our waiter at dinner - friendly and helpful.
