Great communication, Clean, Easy access, Very nice home and private. Beds were very comfortable and a TV in each room. Even though it was a smart TV would have liked to get more local channels. Would definitely stay again since it was easy access to Cave Run Lake.

Kentucky Trip
Place was very nice . We originally booked for 5 but one grandson backed out so it was the four of us. The place was great for 4 people. Here are the details of what is needed. The roll away had no blanket or pillow. The kitchen table only is for 4 so we wouldn’t have been able to eat together.Pots and pans,plates and silverware needs better selections, but none of this detracted from our stay . We just had to do dishes frequently.Bring toilet paper and paper towels they aren’t supplied but they were kindly brought over. Great place I’d recommend it .

Enjoyable stay but a few things worth mentioning: the floors were really dirty and excessive dirt was pushed under furniture and under the living room couch. The drain in the shower drained very slowly. While taking a shower, you had to stand in a pool of water. Also, no batteries in the living room remote. The lamp doesn’t work in the guest bedroom. No extra blankets. We would like to possibly book another stay in the near future but it would be great to see these things fixed before doing so.

We were here for Morehead baseball and it was a great place for 4 adults to stay. Comfy, inviting and beautiful scenery. Wonderful hostess as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place
This place was in a great location for me. It was very clean. The only draw back was there is definitely not enough bowls, cooking utensils and blankets!! No extra sheets for roll out bed. No throw blankets at all. I loved the front porch swing, would have been so nice to have a blanket to sit outside on in the cool mornings with my coffee.

Bad Communication
The worst thing I can say about this place, is the water pressure is not great. More than sufficient, just not great. Unfortunately, the communication was pretty much nonexistent (the guys staying in the other half of house said the same thing about her). I asked a question before we booked it, and she answered right away. After I booked it, we had a dear friend put into hospice. I reached set out to see what options we had to reschedule our stay in the event he pass right away. Even offering to pay for an extra day, just for any convenience. CRICKETS.After making my final payment, I needed to reach out again. Either the day before, or the morning of, I reached out again. We were just trying to see if there was an early check in option. Even just the option to drop our stuff off. We just didn’t want to leave our truck at the boat ramp with all our stuff. CRICKETS. I was wrong on our out day. She messaged me, but I was fishing, not checking the message board. Then she called me to let me know of my error. That’s the first we heard from her.

Very basic
We rented this for 4 nights just so we could fish at Cave Run. The driveway wasn’t clearly marked as where to go so we missed it and had to turn around. The driveway was sufficient to park the truck and boat. The house was as shown in the app. Plenty of room for 2 people. Basic supplies were appreciated and the coffee was a sweet bonus. I was disappointed that the kitchen had so many cabinets but the majority of them were empty. There was no baking dishes, serving bowls, cutting boards for meal prep or anything to store leftovers in. There’s was no extra trash bags and the dumpster was overflowing. There was a huge crockpot that wasn’t listed. The lawn was pretty high the day we arrived but it was mowed while we stayed and the yard crew was quick and very careful about blowing grass on the vehicle. I don’t know what was going on in the rental next to us but the banging noises where very loud the first night until very late. It wasn’t as bad the next few but I did know it was a duplex. Yes I would stay here again.

A few bad things and a few good ones
I could not tell if the smoke alarms were working. I hated the tv choices. Rocu (not sure if that is spelled correctly) was the most terrible set up I have ever seen. Where is spectrum or direct tv? About all of the programs were streaming. Housekeeping did not leave any trash bags. The neighbors had two pit bulls that were very friendly but my dog wanted to fight with them. Parking was very good. Plenty of room for my boat. The towel rack in the bathroom was hanging loose, and the sink was slow to drain. The phone number for the property manager posted on the internet was wrong.

Hi Forest, I’m sorry you had these issues. I am not a fan of pit bulls either but the dogs seem nice and they live about 600 ft away so usually they aren’t seen. I will send maintenance to work on towel bar and slow drain. Thanks for your feedback. Tina Hatfield

Thanks for the feedback! We only supply 8 towels and washcloths per stay. That’s usually enough for our guests. Unfortunately I’ve had to use a new housekeeping company due to covid quarantine. They may have forgotten the toiletries. I’m sorry about that.

This home and Dear Tina were just perfect.
There were no issues inside Tina had taken care of everything. We were blessed by all her help returned phone calls, texts and with all our issues our phones were acting up she made it all work beautifully somehow. Love to come back again and stay in the bigger more deluxe unit for more people but this place was pristeen and far from the maddening crowds. There were neighbors with chickens and dogs and someone selling lumber for campfires wood. Someone came and asked my hubby how much but it was from a signage out on the main road. To my knowledge no one in our two units both rented were selling or buying campfire wood. The other neighbors renting were a young delightful couple with a young baby so nice and young and very helpful. If you want to have a wonderful vacation away from crowds and campers and any issues of drugs or alcohol this is the retreat for you. Thank you and God bless you Tina, Beth and Ron from Michigan. Very nice place. The neighbor cats were very friendly. Neighbor dogs were nice but I wouldn't trust them around my dog and they just run wild. Cave run lake was fun. Would definitely rent again. The fire pit is not on the river. There is really not access to the river.

Awesome place to stay!
This was the first time we rented a place to stay at Cave Run lake. It is an excellent location if you plan on going on a fishing weekend with some people. The turn around drive made bringing the boat back easy. Scott's marina is only a couple miles down the same road too. Place was clean and exactly how it was listed. Would recommend!

It was a duplex we didn't realize that from the listing, it was also not a very private location which we were under the impression it was. The other tenants around in the area were very loud. Was not very close to the water.

This property was immaculate and far enough from the interstate for peaceful evenings but close enough to not be a hassle. Loved everything about the property and will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Nice Getaway
No specific instructions provided to us for entry on arrival other than the address and lock combination. We were not expecting a duplex and inadvertently gained entrance to the back unit which had sheets and towels laying on the floor and washing machine running. When we closed the door we were locked out of the back unit and could not enter the front unit so we left Tina a VM and messaged her thru VRBO. She returned the call 10 mins later, was very nice and apologetic. She confirmed we were in the front unit and provided verbal instructions to gain access. Once inside we were very happy with the front unit. It was newly renovated, cozy and clean with all new amenities, a great galley kitchen, large refrigerator, mud room leading to 1/2 bath and laundry room downstairs with bedrooms and full bath upstairs. The house itself is a duplex and not on the river but close to the river. There are 2 properties on the river and a 3rd property next door. The neighbors were not a distraction and we were able to access the river from a common lot in between the 2 homes on the river. There is no good spot to sit by the river. The bank is dirt, rocks, ground hog holes and was a little disappointing because we were expecting a house on the river with a place to hang out by the river. None of the above was a deal breaker because our main focus was the lake and it was 5 mins down the road! Location is everything as we are former RE agents and recommend this place as a Nice Getaway. If you are planning to go boating or fishing at Cave Run you will be very satisfied with the large gravel driveway perfect for a couple vehicles and a boat. We wanted to book 5 nights next year but VRBO had the unit listed as 7 minimum nights and sadly disappointed but thank you Tina for a nice time and we love your investment property. Well done! Convenient location
Check in was a breeze! Great location to Cave Run Lake and town. Beds were comfortable. Everything you need was provided. I was able to do laundry before checking out and not bring home a ton of dirty clothes to wash! TVs were roku tvs. Netflix included. Was able to sign into my Hulu and Amazon accounts and ESPN. Great price. Dishwasher didn’t really work the best. Screws kept coming out of table/chairs...we tried to put them back but didn’t have any tools. The owner was very prompt answering questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice
Tina was absolutely great and very accommodating. The duplex was very clean and is newly remodeled with a real washer and dryer. The driveway had plenty of room to circle around with a boat trailer. It is less than a mile from Pop’s BBQ, which is great. Three boat ramps are less than 10 minutes away. We would happily stay here again, and have recommended it to our friends.
