Relaxing Weekend Away

My family very much enjoyed our long weekend at Bearfoot Hideaway. We booked last minute, and the property manager was very responsive and provided great service. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenity we needed for a quiet and family friendly stay. We also really enjoyed the scavenger hunt- such a fun way to explore the property!

Wonderful place to stay in the mountains

Upon arrival we were very impressed with this cabin located in the mountains. It was very clean and inviting. Fully stocked with all our needs for our stay. Plenty of room for 10 people to stay in comfort. We highly recommend staying here with your family or a group of friends.

Quiet mountain getaway

What a great place this is!! The location is great close enough to everything but super quiet, only a couple of other cabins. The cabin is clean and well appointed with plenty of games and things to do. Great stay!! One word of caution, the cabin is on a steep hill, if you go in winter it get icy and slippery.

The cabin was well stocked, roomy and had everything you need to enjoy family time. The pool table & karaoke machine were big hits. Great indoor & outdoor spaces. We will definitely consider this place on future travels.

This was a great property located 9 minutes from a grocery store and 15 from Blue Ridge. Debbie was great to communicate with and very accurate on all descriptions. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, highly recommend this cabin.

Weekend fun

Traveled for a high school football game and made a weekend out of it with 10 family members. It was also my daughters 18th birthday weekend and we had room for her friend! We love the cabin and would live to come back!!

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bear Foot hideaway. The cabin was clean and perfect for our family of six. The kitchen was well stocked. It was also great location - very close to Lake Blue Ridge Marina, downtown Blue Ridge, good hiking and also 5 minutes to the grocery store. Debbie was excellent to work with and she was very responsive and helpful!

Beautiful getaway!

We loved the days we spent at Bear Foot Hideaway. The cabin is spacious and has everything you need for a mountain get away. It’s located close to hiking trails and 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. We enjoyed the downstairs game room and the fire pit out back. Everything was just like the photos and super clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Tons of Fun!!

We truly enjoyed our stay. There were tons of games/activities and even a scavenger hunt with a prize. The cabin was nicely stocked with needed items and very presentable. The cabin is also pet friendly which is a plus. I definitely recommend.

Family Birthday Weekender

We stayed at the Bear-Foot Hideaway from Thursday evening (Mar 13) - Sunday morning (Mar 16, 2025) to get the family together and away from it all for a 60th birthday celebration. Communication with Debbie was very easy and comfortable. We had bad thunderstorms and lost power for about 8 hrs. Debbie had mentioned to me that this happens, so we were well prepared. The price could have been a little lower, but it was a nice cabin - and close to many amenities!

Fall getaway

What a perfect setting for a family gathering! The cabin is clean and comfortable and the bedroom/bathroom combinations on each of the 3 floors allowed everyone to have their own space. The cabin is tucked away in a beautiful and quiet setting with plenty of outdoor seating and activity areas. Being able to travel with our dog was an added bonus. Debbie is a very responsive host and checked in to make sure our stay was perfect. We hope to visit again.

Excellent on all levels!!!

This cabin was by far the best we have ever stayed in. Everything is up to date and certainly doesn't feel "run down". If your looking for a secluded getaway this is the place. The communication and check in process was the easiest and best we have had. I would highly recommend this property.

Best Fall Getaway!

Everything was wonderful. We had a wonderful time. It is an enchanting home that helped us all leave the hustle and bustle behind. My grandsons loved the tire swing, the scavenger hunt and playing in the fall leaves. Don't miss the chance to enjoy this home. Or has everything you need to kick back and relax!

5/5 Absolutely love Bear Foot hideaway!

Debbie is one of the best hosts that I’ve had the pleasure of working with! Her cabin is absolutely beautiful, and very well thought out as far as beds go. She keeps a lot of amenities in stock as far as laundry/dishwasher pods, cleaning supplies, dog bowls for pets, pots/pans and baking dishes etc. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The cabin is just a short drive into blue ridge and plenty of hiking options within an hour or less drive. This is the second time staying at bear foot hideaway and we certainly will again!

Last minute stay!

After trying to find a dog friendly rental with a cabin company to no success, I got ear Foot Hideaway off the Chamber website. I can say that it was such a great place for our dog. Trails right around the property and flat land. The cabin itself was great. The kitchen couldn’t have been more stocked! We were there as a couple and didn’t need all the room, but this place is great for families with kids! All kinds of stuff for them including DVD’s. Highly recommend!

Just what we needed!!

The property was nice the cabin had everything you would need. There are more than enough games and forms of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had plenty of cooking appliances. We throughly enjoyed every minute of it. The location is great, lots of places to shop and eat. Definitely would rent again. The host was absolutely the best, from directions to a mishap with a pink wash cloth. She communicated with us in a timely manner and checked on us during the stay.

Fantastic place to stay!

This cabin is the absolute best! So much room having three bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, plus a loft with additional beds! Great location at only a few minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. The cabin itself has everything you could need and want, including tons of games for the indoors and outdoors, including board games, pool, darts, an Xbox, and a karaoke machine! The scavenger hunt was so well put together and a fun activity that we did as teams (racing against times.) The owners provided a prize for finishing that was well worth it! We did have an issue getting the air conditioner to click on, but my husband was able to reach the owner quickly and the issue was solved! If we visit Blue a ridge again, we will definitely stay in this cabin. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect

The cabin was delightful! Equipped with everything you could want in the kitchen. Three full bathrooms and lots of comfortable beds. Quite isolated and private, which we loved. our hostess thought of everything, even a notebook including all pertinent information. Particularly delightful was the fire ring in the backyard, completely surrounded by comfy chairs.

Absolutely beautiful and serene cabin!

This property was even better than we could have imagined!!! The cabin was so clean, the beds were super comfy, the amenities were great! There was so much to do in the nearby town of Blue Ridge but we also loved coming back and spending time at the Hideaway. We came with our 3 kids and they loved it! Everything was only 10 minutes away but the house was so peaceful. Thanks so much for a great trip!!!
