It was an excellent stay. The place is neat and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, showcasing the freshness of Kyushu's local ingredients. Not to mention the private bath with sauna room. I would definitely come back for another stay at Takachiho.

The hotel was not new but clean. Staff could not speak much English but have tried their best to help. Parking available right next to the hotel building. Breakfast has a lot of varieties which impressed us a lot.

We could not have asked for a better time at the lodge! The environment was stunning and all the staff members were friendly and welcoming. We arrived way past the check in time but the staff still allowed us to barbecue and really enjoy the naturalistic environment the lodge had to offer. The only drawback is that the location was a little hard to find and it would be better if you can lock the bathroom door. Would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a unique experience...

We had a car incident forcing us to not arrive until 9pm, way past their checkin and dinner time. We told them that we will be late and they were so accommodating. We did not expect they would still have dinner for us (included in price), but to our surprise, they had their receptionist, restaurant staff and chef waiting for us - just us!! We still had our full course meal!! We were so touched and so thankful. They were so kind!! Thank you. 200% service!!
