It's a little gloomier inside photos suggest with only limited natural light. There is construction work going on literally adjacent to the property currently so expect some noise and essentially the outdoor balcony space is off-limits during the daytime. "Amazingly beautiful, well appointed, comfortable, and relaxing resort! We loved the pools and beach and location that was within walking distance of great restaurants but also removed from the center of night life venues. The beach was amazing - clean, clear water, with small pebbles and plenty of loungers. The breakfast buffet was superior quality with an incredible variety of options to suit any taste. We will definitely return!"

"Great hotel, location, friendly staff, and breakfast. The only downside is parking. Don’t bring a car if you can. The free parking lot is often full, and paid parking lots can set you back more than €20 per day. Part of the great location is that it’s a 10 minute walk from the bus station."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Hyperion City Hotel & Spa in Chania. The hotel is modern, spotless, and in a fantastic location—just a short walk from the Old Town while still being in a quieter area by the sea. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and offering great recommendations. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. We also appreciated the pool and spa facilities, which were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Crete. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania!"

"We stayed for 2 weeks and it was great. Only thing to watch out for is if you plan to rent a car. Garage is pretty tight entering and exiting the hotel can be challenging. Lots of scrapes on the bottom of my rental due to steep ramps. Other than that, staff was friendly, they know English, comfortable beds, great and well priced onsite restaurant, and a decent view."

"Great stay at Hotel Kriti! The hotel and room were clean, breakfast was yummy, and the staff was wonderful. The pool was nice, too - a good place to relax and cool off. The location was good - beach, Old Town, and the harbor all within walking range. The room was very quiet - almost seemed soundproof. Would definitely stay at Hotel Kriti again."
