My friends and I great time staying at this cabin for the weekend while we were visiting for Munising and Pictured Rocks.
The cabin was clean, had plenty of amenities, and the host Thomas was easy to communicate back and forth with.
Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to vist the area.
The stay in municipal was amazing!! Such beautiful country. Our backyard was this lovely lovely lovely lake Where the sunsets were amazing. I would recommend a stay here any day
This is a wonderful cabin/house on an adorable, quiet lake. The beautiful, large deck overlooking the lake is fantastic! We enjoyed the hammocks and kayaking, too. It feels very remote, yet it’s close to Pictured Rocks and many other attractions.
This cabin is such a nice little house to stay in!! There's a fire pit, paddle boat to use on the little lake, close to Munising and hiking, and everything you need for a comfortable stay! It is right off the highway so very easy to find. Thanks Thomas!!
We had a very pleasant experience. We were comfortable and the host was accomodating. Because we had small children, there were some concerns about the deck and the stairs, but we were able to work that out. We will definitely go back if we decide to stay near Munising again.

Very nice and super cute. Property owner had amenities that most properties owners wouldn’t allow…fire pit with everything we needed to have a fire, a paddle boat that he allowed us to use. I highly recommend this property to anyone going up to the pictured rocks area. 😊
A quaint cottage with plenty of windows and beautiful views of the very pretty small lake from almost every room. The kitchen was well appointed and there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (with 3 young adults). The foldout couches are pretty good for sleeping. We did bring one additional foam mattress topper which we were glad to have for extra comfort. We loved the outdoor seating space and fire pit. We had a great long weekend and would stay again if the opportunity arises.
Spectacular decks and view. Very quiet and peaceful. All the comforts of home which was so much better than a hotel. As two sets of older adults it was so nice to be able to have the common areas, kitchen, the decks, fire pit etc to sit around and spend time together from breakfast to bed time yet still be able to retire to private spaces. We were able to share some meals like we would at home which was really great. I loved sitting on the deck and staring out at the lake.
This was buried in the description so I can’t say that the description was inaccurate, but I think it’s fair to anticipate that if a property sleeps 8 it should sleep at least 2 or 3 COMFORTABLY. My friend got the only bed and I got a very uncomfortable pullout couch—one of 3 pullouts and a futon, I believe. If there had been 2 actual beds in this 2 bedroom house I would have had no complaints—the property and house itself were great.
This is a great property on a beautiful lake. The property manager was quick to reply and very helpful!!! The house was great, and waking up with the view of the lake through the window was the best!!!!! Very peaceful and quiet...but a short distance from a couple towns where there was a lot to do! Thank you for the experience.
Great stay. The cabin has everything you could need for comfort. Close to Munising. Owner was helpful and responsive. The lake is very pretty and makes for a splendid backdrop off the deck.
House was beautiful and right on the small private lake. We brought our own kayaks and enjoyed our stay! Owner had a waterfall guidebook that we used to explore multiple hikes. We had a great day trip to Marquette and kayaked along Pictured Rocks.
We would definitely recommend and hope to return!
Very nice location, one of the bedrooms is indeed in the walk-out basement - it did not bother us that much. Plenty of couches to sleep on, and beautiful views all around. Owners seem cool and easy going! We also rented a pontoon and had a nice half day on Lake Superior.
Would recommend!!
Thank you, till next time!!

The cabin was ok, the lake nice, but small. Hard to catch fish, kids did get 1 rainbow trout and released it. The 2nd bedroom with a pullout bed in the basement was a little disappointing, I missed that in the description. In the short notes it has 2 bedrooms, 2 Queen beds. Thanks for the firewood and use of the paddle boat. I think they actually liked the paddle boat for fishing the best. The comforters need updating.
We loved this cabin, I didn’t realize it was all solar powered until we got there but we didn’t have any issues and there was enough hot water for all 6 of us!
Ackerman lake is just a gorgeous place; the main windows to the house open up on the lake and allow you to view it from almost anywhere in the house.
Kitchen was extremely well set up, with utensils, excellent appliances; ditto the dishwasher, which made the stay a lot easier.
Thomas was extremely responsive and checked in several times during the stay to make sure everything was going well.
