We really enjoyed our stay at The Pines in Christmas, MI! It was the perfect cozy overnight stop on our trip across the UP. We only wished we could’ve stayed longer but our itinerary didn’t allow it— but we’ll be sure to come back and book this place again! It was a great set up for our family and we particularly enjoyed the living area for late night conversations, coffee (provided by host!) and breakfast at the kitchen table, and the scenic lake views with true fall colors!

Picturesque location

We loved staying here! Danielle made everything very easy and was responsive with any questions we had. She had great recommendations for us. The view of the lake was amazing! We highly recommend The Pines!

we came up to the UP from illinois for our honeymoon, and we had the BEST time! this house was so perfect & danielle was truly the best host. the house was so cute, cozy, and clean and had everything we needed. we are picky with the air temp in houses, and the AC was 10/10 and kept us nice and cool! we would totally recommend and stay again with danielle!

Danielle is a great host and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay. Midweek the lp tank on the grill needed to be exchanged. Within 15 minutes of me contacting her, it was done. We appreciated having a second sink and toilet, a well equipped kitchen, and using the row boat and kayaks. We enjoyed our stay here.

Great place to stay for a Pictured Rocks visit

We loved the location on the lake and took advantage of the rowboat to go out on the lake. It is an easy trip to Munising to see the sights and to Marquette. The cottage was very clean and well stocked for everything we needed. The sleeping porch was particularly nice to wake up and look out at the lake

Beautiful area, great accommodations

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! Cabin is clean, cozy and comfortable! Especially loved the outdoor space. Large yard and very private. Cooked all meals in the kitchen (10 days) and found it very adequate. I would highly recommend this property!

Nice place in Munising

Our family of 6 and 2 dogs stayed at the property in late August 2024. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including a rowboat. We spent some time on the little lake and explored the Munising area and beyond.

Peaceful place to get away

Cozy, clean, and comfortable place. We enjoyed the lake view, trees, and wildlife. Catching perch and pike was a bonus. Easy drive to Munising for the pictured rock tours and other attractions. Overall, a great place to stay to relax and unwind.

Anniversary Trip

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights! We had an amazing time & Danielle was wonderful to work with. Loved being so close to pictured rocks with so many things to do. We also loved fishing on the lake, especially my hubby! Would definitely book again. Great trails for riding arc’s from the house, major bonus!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Pines. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and very nice furniture. Outdoor swing overlooking little Furnace Lake was nice. Danielle responded quickly to any questions I had. Very good experience!

Loved it!

What a great place to stay! The kitchen is well equipped...like being in my own home. comfortable beds and furniture. Had fun making smores at the fire pit. Thanks for the fire wood. Lots of wild life to watch. Good view of the stars.

Wonderful home

We had a great time at The Pines. The hosts were very responsive to questions, the house has everything you could possibly need (including some nice homey touches) and the beds are comfy! We were there in the buggy season so did not use the outdoor spaces. We were very thankful for that big sunroom/porch to enjoy coffee and happy hour before and after our outings. Overall a great stay!

Perfect location, clean, and amazing host

The house is on a beautiful private lake that is so peaceful in the morning. They have such a great setup and left little things like dog dishes out for us to use which I think goes a long way. The little details they make sure to include so it feels just like home. Literally 2 mins from Christmas and 10 from Muinising. Our host was so responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Definitely will stay again !

Excellent Cottage

This property is wonderful. Fishing off the dock and sunset watching in the evening are just a couple perks. Property is pet friendly and our dog was a happy camper here! The host was wonderful and even offered a kennel if we didn’t want to travel with ours. Close to all the Picture Rocks excursions you may want to do. We would for sure rent again if we come back to the area. And, the bed in the main room was amazing! Best sleep we’ve had in a long time!

Perfect in Christmas

Wow! I can’t express how much I was blown away with this property! It’s perfect! Spacious yet cozy, very convenient yet felt remote. Has literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Very comfy beds. I loved it here, and will be back. And my dog loved it as well!

Busy days quiet nights

During the middle of the days we were busy sight seeing and exploring the towns, but the mornings and evenings were beautiful and quiet at the cabin. The color of the fall leaves would reflect off the lake and coffee time was wonderful just staring out at the scenery. The nights were the same with a full moon, and the camp fire was relaxing while having a local brewed beverage

Perfect Location for Exploring this Area

This location was PERFECT! Close proximity for visiting the island, kayaking, hiking, and going to the beach. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was generously stocked w everything we needed. The owners checked in via email to see that we had everything we needed. Needs were anticipated and expectations were met. Quiet location, beautiful view, comfortable beds, house temps were very comfortable. We will be booking here for a return trip to this lakeshore!
