“This motel probably could use some updating however it was quiet, centrally located to downtown and ferry docks and day trips to Drummond Island, Whitefish Point, Tahquamenen Falls. The couple who operate it are very friendly, accommodating and professional. A nice change from the major hotel chains. Room was roomy. The fridge was small but worked which was a plus for us. Would stay there again.”
“We stayed for two nights here and we chose it because of the beach and the closeness to the ferry to get to Mackinac Island. Our favorite things about our stay were the very warm pool and hot tub, the extra hooks in the bathroom for wet clothes and towels, and the breakfast. The concierge described the breakfast as “continental” but there were two waffle makers, cantaloupe and honey dew melon, biscuits and gravy, pork sausage and turkey sausage, premade veggie and cheese omelettes and scrambled……

“This was a lovely property. Only issue was the TV. Could barely get it to work. The front desk was of two opinions as to how to get it to work -- we lost out in the process. Get better remotes or better train your personnel to operate what you have.”
“The desk attendant (not sure how to spell his name) was an excellent host! He was personable, attentive, and took the time to remember individual names! The attendant was very knowledgeable of area attractions and recommended very fun things to do! If youre looking for a place to stay, this is it!! ”
