Do not let the listing photos fool you; staying at this property was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We booked this nine months in advance, only to realize later they slashed the rates by half,and we quickly found out why.The complete lack of facility upkeep, basic hygiene, and preventative care here was staggering.The Unsanitary InteriorFoul Odors & Stains: The only living room seating is an old sectional sofa that smelled overwhelmingly of feet and worse. When we stripped the beds on our final morning, we were horrified to find our mattress covered in yellow stains. There is nothing modern in the house except for TV's.Contaminated Water: Both the toilet and the bathroom sink dispensed yellow water.Missing Basic Supplies: Despite the premium price we paid, there was no dishwasher detergent, and all four shampoo bottles in the shower were completely empty.Hazardous & Failing InfrastructureElectrical Issues: The kitchen wiring cannot handle basic cooking. Running the provided electric griddle and a toaster simultaneously tripped the breakers repeatedly.Unsecured Areas: To reset those breakers, I had to repeatedly enter the garage and utility room. These areas were left unlocked, highly disorganized, and frankly unsafe.Non-Functional Amenities: Half of the outdoor patio lights were dead. Out of three or four propane items (grills/Blackstones), only one had any gas. The advertised outdoor sauna came with no clear instructions and lacked the necessary pans to actually heat water for it.False Advertising: The basement theater's advertised popcorn maker was missing (we were told it was broken). The listing promised worms for fishing; none were provided. The pond and deck look drastically worse than the photos.A Neglected, Creepy ExteriorThe Grounds: The property looks like the set of a horror movie. There is an old, broken-down truck, several abandoned campers, and bizarre cages attached to random outbuildings where we were told to haul our own firewood from. The outdoor trash was heaping full upon arrival and stayed that way our entire trip.Biohazard Pools: The hot tub was left uncovered with a gross orange-brown film floating on top of the foam. The pool was so profoundly cloudy you couldn't even see the bottom. The property manager attempted to fix the hot tub, but I ultimately had to find their chemical stash and balance the water myself. The pool never was made right.Save your money and book literally anywhere else!
