Maritime Place A2 - Oceanfront in Garden City Beach

  • Maritime Place A2 is an ocean front first floor condominium. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sun come up sitting on your private balcony. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath property accommodates 6 with 1 king bed, 2 single beds and a sleeper sofa. Enjoy the ocean side pool (open Easter to mid October), hot water spa (closed Nov 1 - Mar 1) and building wide WIFI. The building is only 0.3 mile north of the Garden City Pier. Sorry, no smoking or pets allowed.

    Maritime Place is located 0.3 miles north of the Garden City Pier in Horry County. This complex offers both oceanfront and ocean view units. There is no elevator at Maritime Place. From Easter to November 1, go for a swim in the outdoor oceanside pool. Relax in the outdoor hot tub, which is open March 1 to November 1. Stay connected with Maritime Place's complimentary Wi-Fi. Two parking permits are issued per unit. Motorcycles are allowed. Sorry, recreational vehicles, trailers, golf carts, and pets are not permitted.

Previous guest left dirty silverware in drawer but overall condo was clean and tidy. Beach view was great and we spent a good amount of time at the pool.

Lots to like about 2A Maritime Place, but it shouldn't be up to us (renters) to complain and ask for housekeeping and maintenance to fix things-- that is management's responsibility. The floors should be clean (they were not), clean towels should be in place (they were not), equipment such as coffee makers should work (it did not).

Absolutely terrible parking options. Often needed to park offsite. There are two trip hazard thresholds. One in the entrance and one from kitchen to dining.The balcony exit door to beach and pool access is barely operational not very secure. Appliances outdated, but all functional. Outdated bathrooms, but functional. Needs better bedroom lighting. Also for older adults the high box spring and mattress in the main bedroom with the low side tables did not work for us. Size of the unit was perfect for our needs. Beach and pool access was great. We rented through Dunes and even they could not contact property owner or property agent about the parking. We gave up and prayed that a space would be available everytime we returned from an outing.
