「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

「I paid for an executive room for 3 nights, it wasn't what I was expecting, really basic, no extras, not even shampoo. Bed was rock hard. No restaurant, even though it says there is one on the building, the £11 breakfast was cereal yoghurt and fruit. Staff were helpful, in the first room I was assigned the toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet... They moved us to another room, but it really wasn't a good night's sleep. Told them my unhappiness and they gave us a refund on the other 2 nights...

「It was my second time here in the last few weeks, the first visit was a large room king bed and I had no issues. Good clean room, good Internet connection. On this occasion I chose a suite, very disappointed with the standard considering the cost between the 2 rooms. The Internet was poor, tv buffering all the time on iplayer etc, had to use own network for phone coverage. The rooms are situated at the side of the industrial estate, i opened the windows for some fresh air but had to close them...

「The hotel decor in bedrooms was tired looking however they were very clean. The hotel has a cosy vibe to it. We have stayed here previously and I would happily stay again price is reasonable food is good plenty of choice at breakfast and if you’re looking for an evening meal you can’t go wrong good choice on the menu at very reasonable prices. Had to ask at reception for service at the bar and then ask again at reception for a menu so I knocked a star off but on the whole staff were polite....
