Great property and service

I believe the Property Management company, Outer Banks Blue Vacation Rentals, was the best I've encountered. I received a text upon arrival with a contact name for issues that needed to be resolved. Halie was absolutely wonderful and attentive and sent maintenance within a couple of hours to resolve the small problem we encountered. No complaints here, just good reviews ! Give Halie a raise.

Dirty but nice 🙂

Location was great. The house.... Has mold in multiple spots, middle bathroom shower curtain has mildew all along the bottom of it. The railing on the outside steps is broke off. Completely unsafe. The pool has scum build-up along the water line. Completely Unsanitary. Last but not least the hot tub had wayyy to much chlorine. It made everyone have a burn rash. It has tarnish thousand of dollars in jewelery, chemically burnt my guests skin, gave us rash and burned our eyes the whole time while "enjoying" it!! Literally took hair off of my fiance's legs, leaving a burning sensation. !!! I will have pictures to send to you soon. About 3 screen doors fell on off on people due to it not being on the track. No volume on living room TV. Xbox missing controller. The rugs by the door was already filthy with sand. Also, we arrived to having the last people's laundry/blankets in front of the house!! Looks trashy to do that. We also, picked up trash around the outside of the home. Popsicle wrappers, little shot bottles, lids & kids toys. Alot of this can be looked over. But, when skin is having a chemical burn to kids under 6. And adults!!! That's sooo scary. And wedding band, sentimental jewelry is now going to have to be cleaned by professionals. Something's needs to be done. I also will be leaving this review on your website, VRBO & Google. I'd never want anyone to experience our issues. Hopefully somehow you as a company will handle the wrongs and fix them to rights!!

Location VS cleanliness

The property's location was excellent. However, the building needed updating and thorough cleaning. The carpets, bedding and couch all need updating. The TV in the m. Bedroom didn't work well. The pool and decks need a complete power wash and TLC. A few bugs on the ground floor didn't help the experience either. The houses location saved the trip. Well placed on the beach and near activities. We would not rent again.

House not keep up properly

The house looked just as described on the website, but there was plenty of things wrong with this house. First they were only 2 working cable boxes out of the 8 bedrooms and clearly the owner knew that was a problem and rented the house anyway. The flat surface stovetop was cracked and the owner was aware of that as well. The bottom bedroom has electrical problems, the outlet started smoking when a cell phone charger got plugged in. The ice maker was not working and leaking. The path leading to the beach was grown up and you could barely get by. The real estate company used to maintain the property was very polite and quick to respond, the maintenance man came out twice but didn't do anything to resolve the problems. I read a review that was left a couple weeks before my stay and that person had some of the same problems I had and I'm assuming it was the owner that responded and said those issues had been corrected which was a lie. Beware if you rent this house.

Great location that needs TLC

We enjoyed our vacation immensely, but these items were overlooked and detracted from the overall experience. The biggest issue was the broken glass cooktop..that is unsafe and difficult to cook on. The televisions did not work with the exception of 2 rooms. Weeds were overgrown on the path to the beach. Ceiling fan lights were burned out. Floors were awful...too dirty for young toddlers (we ended up buying cleaning supplies of our own). Outlet cover missing on plug in game room. Broken toaster. Previous guest garbage left in receptacle in game room without a bag. This awesome house needs TLC.

The dirtiest home I’ve stayed in 33 yeats

Every aspect of this home was dirty-floors, tables, bathrooms have mold on walls, shower curtains. Stairs never vacuumed. Ceiling fans disgusting. I cannot say that one area in this house was clean. Considering the cost this is abominable. What is the property manager doing??? Refrigerator doesn’t close properly. Ice maker doesn’t work. Downstairs ice maker is rusted. Furniture in basement is visibly dirty and stained. Trash cans filthy. VRBO needs to step up their game as well as the rental property manager. I will not be recommending either to family or frienda

Sunfish Fun!

We all had a great time in Nags Head! We had two families of five and their was plenty of space for all. The house was very clean. We loved all the dishes they had and enjoyed the labels on the cabinets. Having two dishwashers was definitely a bonus! Being right on the beach is amazing but wished all the outdoor water was turned on for rinsing off all the sand. We came excited to charcoal grill but ended up finding the grill in very poor condition. The grill is a very small one like you would find in a park. We were told that we would have to rent high chairs and cribs but don't. They have all that there! Also, the dryer was very slow to dry. Had fun walking to the pier, ice cream and candy store. Overall we had a great stay!

Spring break trip

We came to the Outer Banks for a few days because my son wanted to see Kitty Hawk and the lost colony. I thought it would be fun to stay on the beach and get a little bit of beach time in as well. We came in late March and it was still very cold. I have assumed that we would be able to use the pool but it was completely covered as were all the other pools in houses nearby. The stairs to this house have carpet from the 1970s, it’s very gross. It needs to be changed. The dock leading out to the beach is old and most of the house needs to be repainted. Especially the porches. The kitchen has little to no usable cooking equipment. The pots and pans are terrible as well as the knives. There’s no way you could cook for a large amount of people here, at least you couldn’t cook for them well. The house itself and bedrooms are fine, it’s clean enough and it’s enjoyable. However, don’t expect an updated house if you are renting this one. The location is excellent though.

Everything was lovely about this place. Except for one thing. The bottom level floor was so dirty it turned our socks/feet black on the bottoms. The rest of the place was fine! We had a wonderful time!
