Clean, great location...nice breakfast!

The rooms are clean, good air con, nice breakfast and great location. The downside is that the hotel is on the 4th floor and the lift doesn’t always work. So have to use the stairs.

Great location and clean!

I have stayed here many times, great value, great breakfast and the rooms are nice! Downside...the lift didn’t work from the car parking area...so had to go up stairs.

Central but noisy location, comfortable

Nice place inside but the location while central in Nampula created issues. Located on ground floor next to hotel is a place called "MP3". It had two different parties going ALL NIGHT LONG (one on a Thursday night and one on a Saturday night) going from 1900 to 0600 both times) with load music and loud patrons resonating up to 4th floor where rooms are located.

Hotel em grande decadência!havia ficado lá já alguns anos e nem sonhava com o estado de degradação em que se encontra: existe coisa melhor por preço melhor em Nampula!

Hotel muito confortável, sem mosquitos, com bom pequeno-almoço. Para outras refeições, o restaurante do hotel é caro comparando com outros restaurantes perto (Restaurante do Museu, Restaurante do Sporting de Nampula).

Good wifi and hot water

Fro Nampula, this was a great hotel. Hot water worked and the building was in decent shape. Taxis are outside and the few decent restaurants are within a block. And good wifi reception.

Tragedy !

I have stayed at Girassol Hotel in Nampula several times since more than 10 years back and up to now. It's sad to see how a previously 4-5 stars hotel has gone down to maximum 1.5-2.0 stars. This hotel belongs to a great hotel chain wellknown in many places in Africa. Unfortunately Hotel.com just recomend this hotel in Nampula. Why ? This hotel does not deserv to be on Your list. I have already send my complains to You in recently send E-mail.

Only real option to my knowledge therefore no real alternative.The rooms very basic however comfortable TV useless Internet not working food average language barrier problem if you do not speak Portugese.In addition the toilet is a concern in that does not flush properly. Beggars cannot be choosers so you have to take good with the bad. Very noisy at night.

Hotellets receptionist kunde inte lämna ut kvitto vid utcheckning, då dom inte hade fått betalningsbekräftelse ifrån Hotels.com. Städaren på hotellet har inte lärt sig att knacka på dörren innan han stormar in i rummet för att byta handukar.

On arrival they could not find my prepaid, internet booking. I was eventually given a suite as all the standard rooms were full. In spite of all the documentation that I had, they had no record at all. Internet bookings do not work well in Africa and direct contact with the hotel is probably better. The bathroom did not have a plug and although there were all the requirements for tea and coffee, there was no kettle in the room.

Good Location

Unfortunately, the staff have a very poor understanding of English, condsidering that 90% of the hotel was full of non-Portuguese speaking people. The TV stations also do not cater for non-Portuguese speaking people. The restaurant was very expensive. The location is good in terms of where I was working, but not safe to go out alone at night. Thankful for the fridge in the room and air-conditioning.
