I never post reviews on places I stay, but this deserves some attention. It was my error to book with Expedia instead of booking with the inn directly. I also did not realize that I could make specific requests for my stay. So for that I take responsibility. What I don't take responsibility for is the check-in. I felt as if I the guest wasn't truly important enough to engage with. Not a friendly smile or hello.. It was name and here are your keys.. The back patio was a mess from the trees which found themselves in every corner and crevice. Understandable, but please don't tell me it had been cleaned 4 times that day or any other day. Never really recovered throughout the stay. Breakfast was lack luster.. and the in room coffee milk was spoiled. If you are an early riser like me, 8 am really does not work. I learned my lesson the first morning when the back door was lock. I asked if I could set up in cafe room with a laptop and was denied. and then the door locked behind me.. really!! It's off season and that is what makes Nantucket great. The location to downtown is good. The parking is hit or miss. Probably not going to book the fall with this inn. There are many other good places to stay.

I had a wonderful stay on Main Street in downtown Nantucket. The location could not have been better — right in the heart of town, making it easy to enjoy shops, restaurants, and the charm of the island. The property was very comfortable, spotless, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like home. The staff were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Nantucket and look forward to returning.
