Hotel Canandaigua, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great hotel on the lake at a reasonable price. Food choices are excellent. They have a live band every Wednesday night which is great. However, when we were there the band was heavy metal which I thought was unusual for a hotel on a lake-did not seem to appeal to many hotel guests, but locals came and enjoyed it. The pool is nice but is on the side of the hotel and it would be much nicer if you had a lake view from the pool."

"From what we understand, this is a family-owned, renovated motor lodge. The woman who checked us in was very pleasant and gave us helpful dinner recommendations. It's quaint, but there are signs of age throughout. Although our room was clean, the carpet could use a good scrubbing. We had to be careful walking near the doorways in our room as the flooring sloped and was cracked in places."

"Mother traveled with a son, and we enjoyed the hot tub and the large room with a king bed! The pillow quality can be improved though."

"The room provides a desk, however no plugs are available at the desk to plug in laptop. Microtel to me is a working person hotel. Also there were no cups in the room to use for water. Desk person was kind of enough to bring me a few up."
