“The cabin — quaint and beautifully adorned — is truly lovely and so comfortable. And Dave and Lynn are impeccable and responsive hosts. We wondered, on our way up in a 100-degree heat wave, whether the loft would be too hot for sleeping. But when we arrived we found the air conditioning on and a small fan running in the loft. We slept so soundly. The property is amazing — tucked into a corner of a quiet pond, well shaded but with good sun throughout the day. The swimming was great, the kayaking……

“Beautiful, private cottage with exceptional hosts. Lisa was attentive and accommodating to our needs, and very easy to communicate with. The house was immaculate, and very thoughtfully decorated. We brought our boat and were grateful for the private dock...we had a great time fishing, waterskiing and exploring the lake as well as traveling up the Songo River thru the locks. We had a wonderful, wholesome family vacation and look forward to visiting again. Thank you for opening up your home to us!”

“We had a great vacation on Jaybird Pond, swimming, kayaking, hiking and making family memories. Renters should know that the property does not have running water or electricity. The property managers help you figure out how to boil the pond water and use the propane lamps. If you’re willing to rough it, you can’t beat the experience of having your own pond. ”

“We had a great stay at this cozy camp, thoroughly enjoyed spending time by the water and relaxing. Lots to do in the area but not a bad drive to Portland either. We wish the bedrooms had an extra lamp each- very dark! But that is a minor complaint. Hope to Iretun next year!”
