「I’ll just start with I’ve never been more at peace leaving a vacation. the kayaking, paddle boating, canoeing did not go to waste,as we found our city selves doing it EVERY DAY! The fires we had, the locals we met, this place is amazing and the memories made are irreplaceable. Thank you so much for providing such a inclusive experience and an unforgettable atmosphere.」

「Shimmering Cove was the perfect location for me and my friends to stay at for the weekend. There was plenty of space, activities, and supplies available. The hot tub was amazing and the views were wonderful. We made use of the kayaks, and there was also plenty to do when the weather was rainy. Check in and check out process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!」

「This spot was the perfect location for a quiet, kid free girls weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful and has easy access to the water for some swimming or fishing. The camp itself was cozy but also spacious enough. We had 5 adults and we had plenty of space for activities, plus we all had our own bed! All in all we had an amazing weekend and made great memories that we will never forget.」

「Beautiful house on a beautiful spot on the lake. The little waterway the house is on is incredibly peaceful and a great spot to kayak or canoe. The house itself is great. We especially loved the massive windows overlooking the water from the main living area and from the master bedroom. The firepit by the water is also a perfect spot to relax. 「Overall, the house was fine, but a few issues did make the stay less pleasant than it should have been. Primarily, the master bedroom bed is a full size, NOT queen as advertised. It also feels like sleeping on pile of bricks. The caretaker brought a foam top after we complained, which was appreciated, but we still opted to move to the much softer queen bed in the basement. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived. Not the owner’s fault, I realize, but no one ever responded to my VRBO...

「This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp.」

「The second time I have rented this property. Not as clean this time but fully equipped. The whole outside including chairs could use a good power wash. A bat was found in a corner of downstairs bedroom. CO2 monitor went off 3 times once at 5:30AM. I assume after calling the number it was serviced as it never went off again although no follow up call or note was left that it had been serviced?」

「The house was really great - plenty of room and a nice and serene. Older house with squeaky and uneven floors but the decor and some modern makeovers made it have great character! Communicating with property manager was very easy and we got prompt responses. The only thing worth mentioning that needs attention is the little bridge to go over to get to the driveway. 「The property has a lot of potential. There is no sandy beach access on the property , just the long dock area. Not sure if another party left right before we arrived, beds were made and it was tidied , but could have used a better overall cleaning. (Floors , countertops, mopping etc.) Definitely a campground feel. Overall beautiful views and had a wonderful stay .」
