Roger Wheeler Beach

My family just stayed at this property for the last week. The house was surprisingly larger than expected. We set up a pack and play in the upstairs bedroom and still had plenty of extra room. The beds were comfortable enough for a rental property, but I would bring more pillows and blankets next time. The kitchen had all the essentials and the outdoor grill was easy to use. The outdoor shower was great after long days at the beach. Roger Wheeler was a quick walk in which my kids (3 and 5) could walk or ride their bikes. Overall I would stay here again.

Everything was Perfect

Super clean, perfect location, beautifully decorated, had everything we could have possibly needed. Loved the outdoor shower. We assumed they even provided the exceptional weather we had!!!

Vacation and college tour time

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for the three of us. Everything was clean, quiet neighborhood, and close to the beach and other local places of interest. Highly recommend. Owner was prompt in responding to any questions.

BEACH GETAWAY

OUR FRIENDS LIVE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND HAVE CHILDREN THE SAME AGE AS OUR GRANDCHILDREN. THEY SAFELY BIKED ALL OVER, EASY WALK FOR US TO WHEELER BEACH. CLOSE TO GREAT RESTAURANTS, TRAILS, PICKLEBALL COURTS, FISHING, AND BOATS. WONDERFUL VACATION HOME!

Perfect for our family

This house “ticked all the boxes” for us. In addition to enjoying the house amenities, we enjoyed walking the neighborhood. The area was quiet, with friendly neighbors, well kept homes and landscapes. We enjoyed the nearby state beach (8 minute walk) and visited Scarborough twice (short drive).

Had a good time

Nicely appointed although smaller than imagined and houses so close together. Easy walk to beach and very easy for Block Island Ferry .Was disappointed that Narragansett Beach would not allow us to park. Would recommend for a good time

Terrific rental

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this house. The house was well cared for & had everything we could ask for. It was much larger than we had expected from pictures on the VRBO site. The 4 bedrooms were all roomy, airconditioned, and immaculate. The outside deck was perfect; there was always a slight sea breeze even on the hottest days. The neighborhood was friendly, the neighbors welcoming, with lots of folks walking their dogs, gardening, or riding bikes. The beach was a close walk, with several restaurants nearby. We would love to rent this house again next year.

Big enough for the whole family!

There were 10 of us ranging in ages 14-64 for July 1-8, 2017. Plenty of room for all of us and the house had everything we needed. Really liked that we could walk to the beach (Roger Wheeler State Beach) and if we just wanted to drop someone off at the beach we didn't have to pay for parking. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and enjoyed eating on the deck. The outdoor shower with hot water, barbeque grill, and washer and dryer were greatly appreciated. Matthew and Kristin have a wonderful house that is very well maintained.

Super clean - excellent location

Stayed here last week with my family - me, husband, daughters (4 & 7) and my mom. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We brought our own bed linens, towels, and pillows which wasn’t an issue since we drove. I would have paid more to have those items included if that was an option. Great location- about half mile walk to Roger wheeler beach, 1 mile to salty brine. Window ac units worked great to cool the house. We also brought our bicycles which we used every day to ride around the cute neighborhood and see people out walking their dogs. Owner was very responsive to all of our questions - always got back to me super fast. This is a great house, highly recommend !

Great Location

The house was situated in a great location, walking distance to Roger Wheeler Beach. Everything about our stay was great, except bc the house is old, the electrical system needs to be updated. For instance, all a/c’s had to be turned off if you wanted to use a blow dryer, otherwise the fuse would trip. Also, not a huge deal but you can’t run the dishwasher at the same time of the washing machine (for clothes). I highly would encourage the owners to update the electrical system and bring it into the 21st century.
