“ location is excellent. ”

“When you enter the shore house it’s really dark, dingy and the front desk area is very cluttered. It’s nothing like the images on the website. The bathrooms are super tiny with the sink outside in the room. The sink is so poorly constructed that you can barely wash your face or brush your teeth without getting water all over the floor. The floors of our room was dirty and sandy. The breakfast choices are awful, the almond milk was sour, the hard boiled eggs looked like they’ve been sitting out……

“The proximity to Scarborough beach is ideal. Just walk across the street and you’re at the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Very tired and old hotel, despite the steep prices. Not charming at all. Feels more like a 2 star outdated hotel. Old and stained carpets, vending machines that do not work. Also found hair on our bath tub, in a very crammed bathroom. The positive point is the location and adjacent parking. Still not worth about $850/night for two double beds.”

“I'm a stickler about a clean environment. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of my room. It's the most important thing to me while staying away from home. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I have is that a sign with an arrow and the word ice should be posted at the laundry room. I had a hard time finding the ice machine.”

“Absolutely loved our stay at the Eureka. It’s just up the hill from the farm, and you have a beautiful view of all the trees and some water. They were so clean, air conditioned, and they have a nice little outdoor shed for storage for before and after check out which made everything so simple. They have a coffee area you can make yourself too at any time of day. They even have an area for checked out guest to use the showers upstairs and outside. The free bites and sips was well worth going to……

“The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. ”
