"It’s a very nice hotel, with very friendly staff, located in a nice area just off of one of the canals, nice area to walk around when the suns setting, only small thing I’ll mention was some mould on tiles in the bathroom but apart from that, was a superb place to stay"

"The images really sell the property, but sadly the reality is not the same. The pipes in our room sounded like a pneumatic drill going off every 25 minutes. There were chunks and holes in the walls, the thermostat was hanging off the wall.. we were delighted at the price and the pictures but sadly it is not the reality. They also tried to charge extra city tax without telling us in advance as they gave us a different room to what we reserved."

"This small, authentic, owner-operator historic hotel is an uncommon experience. It isn’t perfect, with a very narrow, winding staircase (no lift), but the old-school key access and features like original floors and windows, large floor space, and super friendly family staff, we felt like it was a great value and location for Amsterdam. "Fabulous place and facilities - just wonderful! Only thing that I would have found useful to know prior to arrival is that you only get starter provisions such as shampoo, toilet roll & washing up liquid so if staying longer than a couple of days you will need to stock up on more of these."
