“Fitness center definitely lacking”

“Dog friendly, Amazing property. It’s on the national registry of historic places. Mid week we had the place to ourselves. Landscaped beautifully with mature trees, big, shaded lawn. Large pool. Perfect refreshing temp. Hot tub was divine in the evenings as well. Located in walking district to historic downtown. Will stay again!”

“There was a musty smell when first entering the room, but it became less noticeable once the air conditioning was turned on. However, the air conditioner was quite noisy and affected sleep quality. Overall, the value for money is average, and the experience is moderate compared to the price.”

“Nice room, close to I-35 but had to do U turns when doing business in town to get back to motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Refrigerator in room was noisy but otherwise mostly quiet.”

“Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was very tasty! Staff was very courteous and helpful! Spent 2 nights, one on the way to the beach and one on the way home!”

“Clean room, friendly staff. The bathtub is a "slip and fall" slick surface. After I nearly fell, I placed a bath towel in the tub so my wife could take a shower without hurting herself. Also, no coffee pot or coffee in the room. It's a basic, make that very basic, place to lay your head for a few hours. As in all tourist destinations, the competition is among the travelers looking for a room and as a result, hotels don't have to worry much about customer satisfaction.”

“Pros: The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly. Cons: The shower did not work or it was not clear how to turn on the shower. The tub was stopped up and water sat and drained slowly all night after my impromptu bath. There was a leak in the bathroom and the floor was constantly wet near the toilet. The free breakfast was not much to talk about. The toaster wouldn't toast. I didn't even attempt the waffle maker. There was no juice/water set out and the only option was coffee.”
