“My wife and I arrived at Gruene Cottages about about 5pm, having notified GC that we would arrive later in the evening. Upon my arrival I realized that my reservation was for an upstairs cottage. This was an issue as I am in my late 70s and can’t manage stairs. I met with the manager on duty. She made a phone call and minutes later we were allowed a downstairs cottage without additional charge. Once in the “SONORA” cottage, we were blown away. It was absolutely beautiful. A beautiful……

He was a great host, making sure to communicate with us every step of the way from the second I booked to the time I left. The property was in a great location, as well! I will be booking again!”

“We had a great time. Great privacy in the back. Great access to river. Fun but slightly ackward in the front where the pool, hot tub, and grill are. The owners quarters located next to pool. The owner decided to do yard work when we were there. I said “thank you for letting us stay” and she turned with no response. They charged for towels that I don’t recall them becoming destroyed. (Hoping it wasn’t from my group however they had another guest the next night) Guess I am used to hosts calling……

“It was clean and comfortable. There were high kitchen ware. Picnic tables, coal girl and yard games provided. No dining table but we made do.”

“Property was central to Schlitterbahn and the main sites of New Braunfels, including being steps away from the river. Lots of natural light in this well-laid-out condo made it very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.”

“The place is nice and bright and very clean! It has a beautiful view of the Guadalupe River from the covered deck, which was our go-to place most of our time there. It would have been a bonus if it were screened in but overall the bugs weren't too much of an issue. There was plenty of wildlife on the river which we love. We saw large fish, a turtle, ducks, heron, and snakebirds. The water was lower than I expected, so due to my mobility issues, I wasn't able to step into the river from the……

“The place was clean and stylish but the bed was too small and it was upstairs. We saw plenty of empty units and couldn’t figure out why they put is upstairs. Also it was not as inexpensive as we thought once all the fees were added.”
