Small hotel to be expected since it was a hostel. Rooms clean. Small rooms but I was rarely there. Great location if you get a jazzy pass for street car. Staff very helpful and welcoming. I will stay there again. Also there are some very good restaurants walk distance. Especially a Peruvian place a few blocks up.

Princess was very helpful. The room is quaint burgers the job done. It was clean and sufficient for time spent in the city. Don’t expect anything extra, but what the place does provide it is to the highest ability. I’d stay here again.

Room was clean. Light fixtures had bulbs out and overall the layout of the room was odd for use. Coffee was good - Breakfast was subpar. Everything overall was great for the price. I would stay here again.

The king room that we had paid for and stayed in for one night had vinyl flooring that had lifted from the floor below causing a tripping hazard. Hair, not ours, in the shower. Low water pressure in the shower. Shower water took a long time to warm up but never got hot. We were moved to a queen room the next day which was better. The first room should never have been opened for guests - surely the cleaning staff should have noticed the poor flooring. Rooms were small and it had the hostel feel. I would not recommend this hotel. Moreover it had been advertised on Expedia that the hotel would provide a continental breakfast upon original booking which is not the case, false advertising....very disappointing for a hotel with a great location near a tram stop. No dining options in the hotel though restaurants were nearby.

The Quisby is a great place to stay if you're willing and able to do some exploring. I liked the location of the hotel a lot. They provide a guide to nearby attractions and establishments, and all of the spots I visited were great. Definitely recommend checking a few out. It's also very easy to access the FQ via the nearby streetcar route, or on foot if you're willing to walk about 20-30 minutes. Staff were friendly and I had no issues with check-in or check-out. The room was small by hotel room standards, but it was perfect size for a solo traveler like myself. I could see things being cramped with a second person in the room. Amenities were also fairly basic (you have to go down to the lobby for ice and water, for example) but the AC worked well and that's the most important thing. A point against the property is that I could see it being difficult to get around if you need to use a mobility aid. While they do have a ramp in the lobby and an elevator, the lack of street parking and somewhat rough terrain outside the door could make things tricky. Also, the shower in my room didn't have a railing or any anti-slip surfaces, which was fine for me but is worth considering. Overall, I would recommend considering the Quisby, especially if you're traveling alone, are comfortable walking around cities, and willing to make room on the itinerary for new experiences. Would stay again!
