This is a basic hotel with simple rooms. If you need a super fancy lobby and room go elsewhere. HOWEVER--staff A , immediate hot water, very clean and comfortable, subway literally 8 steps away, great food around, so close to Penn. We would definitely stay again!

This hotel was very average. Staff was not friendly and had very limited services. The bed was not great either. Close to subway which was good and clean. Area was a bit sketchy. I would not recommend unless you are on a strict budget.

The Chelsea Savoy Hotel is a good budget option if you're visiting New York. The location is great and there are good public transport connections nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a nice big room with a comfortable bed. The furniture needs an upgrade but that's a minor point. The bathroom was good although the shower was temperamental. (The plumbing plays a variety of tunes.) The safe was a bit small but acceptable and the room also had an iron and a small ironing board which I wasn't expecting. My room faced 7th Avenue so it was noisy at night but I always travel with wax earplugs so this wasn't a major problem. The breakfast options aren't great (so-so bagels, muffins and coffee) and it was a bit like feeding time at the zoo, so after two days I had breakfast at one of the many coffee shops in the area. All in all though, I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel. It's quaint and simple. Everything we needed for our stay. The location was wonderful. Subway right at the corner was so convenient for us. Midtown is the best area. WE WILL STAY AGAIN! Loved it.

Unterkunft zentral gelegen und sauber. Frühstück einfach, aber für eine Woche ausreichend (Kaffee, Bagels, Muffins, Frischkäse, Marmelade, Zitronenwasser). Hotel etwas hellhörig, aber ok. Transfer von JFK etwa 1,5h mit Air Train und anschließend U-Bahn. Supermärkte in Umgebung, viele U-Bahn Stationen auf der 23st Street und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten einfach zu erreichen. Ticket kostet 34$ für eine Woche und absolut zu empfehlen. Es ginge durchaus auch zu Fuß, allerdings macht man dann doch einige Meter.

Hotel super gelegen, direkt an der Ubahn, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, einige Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Hotel war sehr sauber. Frühstück: sehr guter Kaffee und Muffins und Bagels. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Overall, a fine place to stay. We had a maintenance issue and concierge took care of it right away. Our room was on the alley side, so it was actually very quiet at night. We could walk to many attractions. Continental breakfast was just muffins and untoasted bagels, so that was the only disappointment.

The hotel is in a great location, clean, close to the subway. Walkable distance from Penn station. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I appreciated having a simple breakfast of coffee, bagels and muffins in the morning. The price for hotel was decent for the location. My only complaint would be that we needed better blinds in our windows to block out the light at night. And the noise from the streets was very loud. But, that’s typical in NYC.

This place was fine. It did its job. For sure a hotel to stay in for a couple days. Any longer I think you need somewhere better. The bed wasn't comfterable, things were already messed up like the iorn and dents in the bathtub. Atleast I could hook up my switch the the TV and internet with ease. Thats a first. Also wifi/signal service kept going in and out. That was kind of weird. Other than that, I am greatful for having a private bathroom regardless. I stated in a hotel simular to this in new york and each floor had 2 shared bathrooms with 10 rooms. If you can't find anywhere at a good price, this hotel will do. It does its job.
